Making some updates to Tartarus. One of the biggest changes I'd make in the next version is removing the QR code reader for something like an sd card slot or just assume you need a USB connection for some things. That thing has been nothing but a PITA 🤣

Made it to level 44. A little more gray in the beard but they weren’t kidding- your 40s are great.

The last 8-12 weeks have been a fun experiment with subclub but it’s clear there’s basically zero appetite for a kink focused app/site anymore. Even among early adopters there’s a sharp drop-off. Most people (64%) never made a profile even if they signed up. I’m not pulling the plug on it though.

I don’t dress up (or down, really) for kink events. Without fail, one or more person(s) will use an incredibly condescending tone to welcome me to the space and let me know “everyone starts somewhere.” Once a twink looked me up head to toe and said “are you sure you’re into this?”

I become irrationally angry when people say “you can have fun without drinking” when I decline to go to a loud bar. Like, no shit… That’s why I’m choosing to do something *else*.

Talking to folks it sounds like the space between hookups and LTRs has basically collapsed/is collapsing. The apps are relegated to pic perusal and “Right Now” and everything beyond moved to social media. I def have no counter evidence…. Enjoy my current fave club outfit.

Back in NYC! Positive feedback continues on subjugated.club. 1) it’s basically open access now, 2) I have enjoyed more quality chats there in the last two weeks than the last 6 months on all other (dating?) platforms combined. So already calling this a win 😎

Just sayin', Bluesky launched publicly Feb. 6th of '24. That was 917 days ago. Accounts with north of 20K posts, assuming they were there day 1, would have AVERAGED 22+ posts/responses EVERY single day since.
