Really recommend everyone try the process of creating art just once. Just to know the feeling. Just to know what it’s like to take something creatively to completion. Just to be proud of it, even if it’s bad. Just to say you did it. Even that’s okay too.

The vibe we wanted for the game was derived from our love for gintama and its comedy is so grounded, unapologetic and just fckn insane. I dont know if anyone could possibly get on sorachi's level except him but I found it an exciting challenge to unmoor myself a little for the sprites in this game

Gonna call this finished! Etza, the character who is my favourite from the game Alaris! With my OC/Main Character version (who is still wearing the White Mage outfit because I gave up trying to figure out what they should wear)

The top third of the drawing is a cartoony scene meant to look like old RPG games, with my character as a WHM casting LIT4 on a cartoon version of another character from Alaris, Kuna'a. Yellow boxes display their names and stats. That section is linked to the rest of the drawing with a "thinking speech bubble" leading to the characters Etza and my Main Character embracing each other closely while they sleep, with the implication that the first scene is being dreamed by my character.
