History/castle buffs, opinions please! I'm doing a detail/polish iteration around Arberth, inspired by various native Welsh castles - Dolwyddelan, Dolbadarn, Carreg Cennen, etc. I'm not sure about adding a surrounding ditch and palisades below the main structures.

#ScreenshotSaturday There are a lot of different ways to build a level... For this kind of natural environment, I tend to layer it 'bottom up' - after sculpting the terrain, I work from ground texture, to floor cover, to tree canopy, ending with the lighting and postfx pass.

If you've ever seen 'dragon's breath' cloud inversions settle over the Welsh valleys, it's easy to understand where the inspiration for this story may have come from!

This is not an actual in-game shot, it's just where the camera happened to fall in-editor while setting up a cinematic! But it made me smile... :)
