In a fun bit of personal trivia, a couple weeks ago I stayed in the same Lisbon airport hotel as the Cabo Verde national football club as they were on their way to the US for their first World Cup. The whole team was at the breakfast buffet. Go Blue Sharks!

If I told you ten years ago all of the Jeopardy winners, doctors, lawyers, stat-focused sports nerds, and premium shitposters escaped Twitter on a pirate ship to a website that was completely inhospitable to Nazis and phrenologists……. I don’t know, man, I’d be pretty excited.

Everything around us is built, delivered, maintained, cleaned, repaired, cared for & made possible by workers. This May Day, International Workers’ Day, we honor the labor behind everything we can see & the power workers have when they organize together. Art by Sam Wallman

Illustration on a red-to-orange gradient background showing a person looking out a window at a city scene. Yellow labels point to the workers who make daily life possible, including construction workers, municipal employees, warehouse workers, carpenters, laborers, plumbers, recycling plant workers, maintenance workers, garbage collectors, wastewater treatment workers, road workers, delivery riders, safety inspectors, pest control workers, electricians, technicians, cleaners and social workers. This problem -- the RW takeover of media -- is like fucking Voldemort or something. He Who Cannot Be Named. People seem to think they'll burst into flame if they discuss it. It's baffling. I've accepted that I'm going to live & die without ever understanding why this is.

Latest comic on changing usage of the insult "PC," a form of linguistic warfare that has successfully redefined morality, human rights, and democracy itself as "liberal" -- and therefore weak, effeminate, and inferior.

Insult Bloat
IN THE '90s, IF SOMEONE FROM "THE LEFT" TRIED TO USE INCLUSIVE LANGUAGE, THEY WERE MOCKED AS "POLITICALLY CORRECT."
‘90s person: WE LIVE IN A MULTICULTURAL SOCIETY.
Man in bowtie: PC!

THE TERM EXPANDED TO INCLUDE ANYTHING ASSOCIATED WITH "THE LEFT."
Man: I SUPPORT GAY MARRIAGE.
Right winger: PC! WOKE! ENEMY WITHIN!

THEN MANY IDEAS THAT HAD BEEN WIDELY ACCEPTED AS BASIC VALUES BECAME DEFINED AS "LEFT WING" AND THEREFORE "PC."
Hegseth: "THE DUMB, POLITICALLY CORRECT WARS OF THE PAST... HAD RESTRICTIVE, MINIMALIST RULES OF ENGAGEMENT."
FIRST PERSON TO EVER CALL IRAQ WAR "PC"

NOW, EVERYTHING IS "PC" (OR "WOKE") EXCEPT FOR THE CHAOTIC WHIMS OF ULTRAVIOLENT MAN-BOYS.
Iranian woman: PLEASE DON'T KILL ME!
Young man in red hat: OH, STOP BEING SO YOU-KNOW-WHAT!
