Last year, April and I created a flow piece for The Surreal Sirkus Frequinox show, set to the music of Pan Door. It told a sweet story, and the video is in the comments.

On 9/20, Surreal Sirkus is returning for Frequinox 2, with performances by Surreal Sirkus, sets by an all-star lineup of Asheville DJs (iXNéE, Sensoma, and Mr. Burns) and a live PA by our own house Mugician, Logos.
Last year I created my first piece for The Surreal Sirkus with light sabers choreographed on my own original music, and performed it at our Frequinox event. On September 20th we'll host Frequinox 2 at Third Room in Asheville, NC again, we hope to see you there! youtu.be/a5qkmzPdJbw

RIFE2 1.10.0 is out! Server-sent events, htmx support, CSRF protection, database migrations, and ahead-of-time instrumentation so continuations run without a java agent, even in GraalVM native images. Still one jar, still zero dependencies.
bld 3.0.0 is out! Parallel dependency resolution, BOM support, and an MCP server so AI agents can drive your build. Still one jar, still pure Java.
Just get it rolling/looping, and every part of your performance is saved just like you played it. Another wonder by @gbevin.uwyn.com -- #opensource for Mac, iPhone, and iPad.

Something else is stewing ... it kinda fell out of the work I'm doing on my new Vision Pro instrument: Wirelight! 🤩💡🎧
Glinster is a musical instrument and MIDI controller for Apple Vision Pro that you play with your bare hands in the air, without any controller.
I've been working on something new for Vision Pro, iPhone and iPad ... stay tuned!
I'm really excited about what my RouteMIDI tool allows through its MCP server, integrated into Claude Desktop. You can just talk to the LLM to connect MIDI devices together and manipulate their MIDI streams. You can find out more about RouteMIDI here: github.com/gbevin/Route...
To complement my SendMIDI and ReceiveMIDI tools, I've created RouteMIDI: a multi-platform command-line tool to connect MIDI ports together, optionally filtering, transforming and converting MIDI messages along the way.

Next Friday The Surreal Sirkus is having its second Surreal Sirkus Salon! I'm looking forward to seeing everyone's acts and performances, and hope to see you there!
I finished writing and laying out the last piece of my 3D printed solo board game Dynamod Last Stand: the instruction booklet! Now I can have my printers produce all the pieces for the complete game boxes while I do the remaining work to make this available for sale. Almost there!
Roger and I have released a new firmware for the LinnStrument. It contains bug fixes and also adds a new feature called Low Row Transpose that Roger explains in this video. youtu.be/rTTmQWbcCrQ?...

Great turnout for my lecture about MPE at the Sigal Music Museum on Sunday. The audience was very engaged and curious, making great observations and asking plenty of good questions. It felt good to present again, it had been a while.
Getting ready to leave for my lecture about MPE at the Sigal Music Museum in Greenville. It looks like many people registered and it's going to be a good turnout! 🤩
Getting closer to finishing the design of the entry level board game in my 3D printed Dynamod series. This is a quick solo survival game where you fend off waves of randomized monsters while also changing the room layout.
In two weeks I will give a lecture at the Sigal Music Museum in Greenville SC about MPE and expressiveness in electronic music. This is a free event but registration is required. I hope to see you there! www.eventbrite.com/e/geert-bevi...

Play testing a cheap and compact $20 solo crawl version of my Dynamod 3D printed board game 😁
Thankful for all the friends and other makers who visited this weekend during Assembly Required: Asheville Designer Toy Expo. All the feedback and play testing on my Dynamod Dungeon Dive board game, has given me great directions forward.
Almost done getting things ready for Assembly Required: Asheville Designer Toy Expo this weekend!
After quite a few revisions, the rules of my 3D printed board game Dynamod Dungeon Dive are close to finished, still coming out to one page! The intent is for this game to be teachable in a few minutes while offering a great dungeon crawler experience to anyone without any book-keeping!
First draft of the final rules for Dynamod Dungeon Dive, the 3D printed cooperative randomized dungeon crawler I'll introduce at Assembly Required: Asheville Designer Toy Expo. It all comfortably fits on one page! 🤟🤩
Here's a sneak peek of the evolution of Dynamod Games. I've been working on this for almost two years with some breaks in between.
I'm giving a lecture in March about #MPE at the Sigal Music Museum. It's way too soon to start promoting this, but I thought I'd already mention it anyway! 😁 www.eventbrite.com/e/geert-bevi...
