You know those funny stories with dog poop and robo vacuums? They are not quite as funny irl. Giving up on today, 8.31am. 💩💩💩🪦🪦🪦

Win of the day: I managed to push myself to write the last parts of the blog series I started last fall. Shame of the day: I forgot about it for EIGHT MONTHS and I ended up writing SIX parts, not 3…. Picture from Oslo (EuroStar last week) to show how happy I am to be done! Testing.pejgan.se

Crazy looking lady showing a waterfall next to a stoned path. She is wearing rainbow glasses and a pretty cool tattoo is peeking out. She is not stoned like the path, but will get cava about 15 min after this picture.

The wait is finally over 🎉 The #Oredev2026 program is officially LIVE! From deep-dives into software architecture and pragmatic AI to engineering for delivery and much more 👉 Your ultimate 3 days in Malmö (Nov 4–6) are ready to map out. Grab a coffee ☕️ and explore 👀 oredev.org/program

I might be turning less AI-gloomy? Maybe this ”specification driven development”-innovation (*cough*) is when my 2004-isch REQB certification starts paying off?

Life with an orange cat: Always check the weird noice from the kitchen. Always. No. It can’t wait. It’s like having 3 kids who were born calm and then the 4 one is just constantly climbing curtains, eating dog poop and testing everything. And he’s heavy. And he prefers sleeping on my legs. 🐈😴💥

I am so incredibly tired of being this incredibly tired. And puberty was enough once, why the f do we have to do it again?!?!

I was SO FUCKING PRETTY and the menace one pushed a half full mug of coffee all over my dress, blazer, table, floor. I was looking SO DAMNED GOOD. Stupid morning. Stupid muscle pack of a cat. Stupid me for thinking he would not. Stupid everything.

I managed to figure out how to verify a certain flow today, while my testers were busy doing other important things. I was so proud of myself I had to instantly log off for the weekend while on that high note. (It was complicated. Don’t judge) Also: reverse casual friday in new jeans & cute blouse

Do not approve of orange menace (mine, not the USA-ian one) waking us up at 4.45 because he is bored. Might be slightly less patient with people today. 2/10 would not recommend.

Orange cat draped over human legs. He looks deceptively innocent

Someone asked if we got snow. Well. This is what I haven’t managed to remove from the driveway. No idea where to put it 🤣

A lower leg in a winter boot with metric tonnes of snow behind it. Snow reaches about 2/3 up to knee

I would have KILLED for these pants when I was in 8-9th grade. Only the super cool kids who had been to fancy places like the states or Stockholm had pants this cool. So of course I had to buy them 🆒👖👶

I finally dragged my ass to the car dealership and test drove a zillion (five) models AND did at least a bit of negotiating. So if nothing weird is found when verifying my giant boat of a car I’ll be switching in a few weeks

I was incredibly funny, gracious AND set boundaries in an email today. Will not take questions at this point in time, thank you. G’night.

Another of my 38 favourites. When you are caught up in the daily grind, it’s hard to see a way out of it. Reactive works fills whatever void you give it, reflective/proactive work often requires you to carve out time and habits. Writing MORE tests might help. Or just give you more reactive work.

Top 38 illustrations for my talk in Prague this week (yes, they are all my favourite one) Tests (automated in this case) have layers. Layers of depth, purpose. Which layers to use, the size and where on the onion you put them - that’s something YOU need to figure out. don’t blend them into soup

Drawing of a red onion with the text ”tests have layers like onions” and different layers named different test ”types”

I am watching people lift very heavy stuff. I’ve never felt more out of place and I seem to constantly be in someone’s way. I deserve a girlfriend 🏅after this

The relief when you find the right combo of painkillers for a particular pain is something I hope most people never have to experience. I hope you all get to live life mostly painfree and think <insert any over the counter pain med you like> works on everything
