Well, blocked someone on here for the first time. ‘Actors taking the dirty Potter cash are shitty- shitty people’ is apparently not a strong enough sentiment for them. Enough to try and start a pile on.
Books where the main character is all miserable and recounting how terrible their life has been and they hope to die soon and then, wouldn’t you know it, things actually get worse as the story kicks in. Bit much. Maybe a little light and shade to start. This isn’t an emo record.
Will hit 60000 words in next few days, the aim is to keep it relatively short so I’m basically in the downhill slope at this point. Will finish this first draft then let it sit for a month, during which I want to quickly knock out a horror/fantasy novelette that I will put through my micro press.

I used to pay attention to a handful of generally useful self publishing authors, who would give thoughts on how to navigate the self publishing world. Now it seems they all, every single one, bangs on constantly about AI. I mean every vid or email or substack. Shut the fuck up.
