This for the opticians but look at my poor glasses. Left: Backup Right: Worn during accident The wrap used to match on these. I kinda got em back into shape with pliers/washcloth but the x-ing is still bad. I’m nervous tho since this frame is pretty solid and I don’t wanna push it at home.

A photograph of 2 pairs of glasses laying upside down on a table. The left pair is my backup, and the right survived the car accident. The right pair shows signs of x-ing, meaning the lenses are twisted. The wrap is also stronger due to the impact of the airbag, meaning the curve along the front is stronger. The arms are bent outward, and I was awkwardly holding the glasses on my face after the accident. All these things can cause vision difficulties/comfort issues in a pair of glasses. (I’m an ABO Certified optician, but I’ve been out of the field a few years. Kept my certification active, though!)

If I had a nickel for every time someone totaled our car by running a red light… I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice! (The Kia Rio’s airbags get a 10/10 rating from me, btw. I walked away from this with just abrasions, muscle strain, and bruises.)

I did distribute several copies of my Flare zine to witnesses at the scene of the accident because I was on my way to a zine event. Download it for free here to experience that surreal situation for yourself! (There’s also a link to read it in your browser!) ko-fi.com/s/7fbf11b234

A screenshot from a Discord post. “i'm so glad you're ok but most importantly you created a core memory for those people ‘remember the time we helped that person after their car accident and we got zines??’ /s”A photograph of a monochrome zine titled “Can I show you some REALLY COOL ART I made of FLARE, one of my D&D characters?” On the cover is a buff high elf with her wire-covered arm slung affectionately around a stupidly big/chunky sword. She has a scars on her hands and one up her abdomen. A small charm of a smiling bush creature dangles off the side of the zine.

"Indies will save us" No! YOU WILL SAVE INDIES! Go leave a review for that neat indie game you like, share the trailer for an upcoming game you're anticipating, tell your fave developer they did a good job, go tell people about such and such game that's just come out, you can make a difference!

This was my 1st Art Fight, but it coincided with being gone for half the month and preparing a move. 😵‍💫 I only managed 4 drawings, but better than 0. This really got me out of a rut, though! I didn’t use my usual tools and it really changed my process for the better. Working on several new pieces!

TW: gore/body horror Flare decided to merge with her Warforged sword without considering the consequences. I had to update her character art! The DM description of their new body was brutal, so I figured I’d try to draw it. The group chat was disgusted and horrified, so I think it was a success??

you’re not gonna believe this, but when you’re learning to draw something new, you draw it even better the second time. and the third. (maybe not the fourth though, that one is a wild card)

Screaming and slamming my fists on the ground because this is so good 😭😭😭 Thank you again!! It’s a beautiful send off to her body before she got skinned and stapled to a Warforged. He even let her keep most of her organs! The Flarebomination arc is gonna be LIT 🔥🔥🔥 Players cried IRL, 10/10, GOTY.

ArtFight attack on Flare for @thekubliest.bsky.social! Her lore is REALLY cool and apparently some major events just happened to her in-game, so…here’s to you, Flare 🥂🥺 #artfight2026 #teammystery

Traditional watercolor painting of a buff elven woman reclining confidently while resting her big-ass sword across her leg. She has tanned, coppery skin with wiry bits of metal embedded in it, and a scar down the center of her abdomen. The sword is made of mechanical plates, with sharp serrated ridges along the blade.
