I’ve never played the game The Last of Us and haven’t sought out spoilers. I am now traumatised. It has destroyed my bank holiday Monday and probably tv for all time. 😳 #TheLastOfUs

It’s been a while since my last Milly appreciation post. Here she is looking beautiful sunning in her favourite local cafe earlier today. Just because.. 🥰

We’re on holiday in Northumberland. We think all our walking has broken Milly 😟

What is this thing causing brightness through my office? I hope it is here to stay for at least 8 months now 🙏 ☀️
Watching #Virdee which is really really good but - not to spoil anything if you haven’t watched - ‘spiderwasps’?? Are these a real thing because I’m moving underground if they are!
We were happy to see our hospice MP @jakerichardsmp.bsky.social a few days ago. As well as talking all things funding, @eveholroyd.bsky.social and I brought Jake up to date with how our services and team have developed over the past year since he last visited.
I moved over here to get away from certain overbearing topics and accounts. So tonight I’m looking for ‘The Traitors’ content and 90% of my search is taking me right back to the content I left behind 😭. I only follow charity people, book people and animal lovers - what’s going on? Someone help!!

At work today we were discussing the pervasive, insidious nature of gossip and what it can do to culture. I likened it to sugar: it has absolutely no positive value, it’s tempting, addictive and it rots your insides. (I felt very clever and pleased with myself at the time! 👩🏫)
It is traditional in Iceland to give the gift of a book to be opened on Christmas Eve. Books are unwrapped and then read together. It is called Jolabokaflod (Christmas book flood). 📖 🎄 🖼 Reading Girl, Gustav Adolph Hennig, 1828.

We are delighted to have been rated GOOD by the CQC! They highlighted our service ‘maximises effectiveness of people’s care and treatment by assessing and reviewing their health, care, wellbeing and communication needs with them. The environment was safe, well maintained and met people’s needs.’
Apparently there is such a thing as too many cushions 🤷♀️

Just a quick reminder to donate any toys, books, clothes etc that you'll be getting rid of in January NOW. BEFORE Christmas. That preloved item of yours could make someone else's Christmas extra special.

She forewent all the comfortable furniture to keep me company right by me while I worked from home today. Dogs are the best ❤️

The side-eye that comes when you don’t give in to the yapping for 20mins for a treat she doesn’t need because she’s had too many treats for 11 years. Slunk back in and threw herself into her bed with an accompanying sigh. Tough life.
