It's not selfish or narcissistic to want/desire representation in a video game. It's harmless to request or ask. Personally I'm always over the moon when a game lets me be left handed and I always am disappointed when it's basically yoinked. I was gutted when Link became right handed for example.
I am very very annoyed with Nintendo basically showing EVERYTHING in the Ocarina of Time gameplay reveal Like, don't they know theres likely multiple generations of people who haven't played OoT before and know nothing about it and now basically had the whole game spelled out for them?
