Continuing my #Ancestry rant - I had the most patronising copy/paste email response from them. No apology. No recognition that sending first degree relations this sort of hint may not be wise. Just appalling.

Can we talk about Ancestry "hints"? Email from them on Saturday saying there was a new hint about my dad! Logged on to be told the hint was his death notice. From 2023. Which I wrote. Bit different from being told about your gg granny. Tactless. Sh*t response from customer service. #genealogy

Ancestry's DNA origins update is the worst yet. A novice researcher looking at my results may think they will be spending 36% of their research in NE England as that's what the blue circle says. Except the blue circle also takes in Roxburghshire, Berwickshire and a bit of E Lothian too. #genealogy
