The cringe-inducing ash stage is a necessary step in the writing process, where you go from being a brilliant person with the perfect idea to a pretentious wanker. Just keep going, and you'll reach the next stages, questioning-my-life-choices and maybe-I-should-organize-my-sock-drawer

I do not write comic books. I would love to but what seems like a great idea my brain turns to cringe inducing ash on the page. This makes me want to write a comic book just to try it out.
