@munichmakerlab.bsky.social Hi! I’m in the process of moving, and have some spare Prusa MK3+ parts (motors, cables, Y axis guide rails, etc.) Would you all be interested in taking them? If not they‘ll probably go to the Wertstoffhof. Ciao!

Americans opened up a history book to 1930‘s germany and said I’ll have one of those thanks
I think I’d be less anti-AI if it was still just called machine learning
Has anyone gone from front end development into something cool like writing software for rockets?
me: ready to maybe do my first solo flight earth: here’s some rain every day for several weeks
No one tells you how much superglue you’ll use when you have a kid
*eating healthy during the week and then absolutely eating a zillion calories of garbage on the weekend* it's called a cut/bulk cycle look it up
That feeling when according to the syllabus you could have your first solo flight in three more missions, but then the CFI tells you you need 100 landings to do a solo flight, but you’re only at 45 😭
Flight training progress during my sabbatical: Monday: sick Tuesday: recovering Wednesday: IFR weather Here’s hoping Thursday and Friday are better 🥲

SCULLY: how much data is there TECH: enough to fill seven 10 gigabyte hard drives ME: so ME: 70 gigabytes
I’m pretty sure I’m learning just as much about flying from @kyracloudy.bsky.social as I am from my textbooks
I don’t think I’ve ever regretted investing in the kitchen. Small things like a timer (with three concurrent timers!) or mise en place dishes, medium things like a carbon steel pan, or large things like an induction cooktop all increase the joy of cooking
The cool thing about being a bluesky user in europe is that all the bugs appear and are fixed while I’m sleeping
My new favorite activity is traveling to the erotic video rental shop to pick up a package UPS couldn’t deliver because I wasn’t home (I work from home)
Had an idea for a story where everyone on earth disappears as the new year rolls in and the clock hits midnight. People in the west slowly discover that people are disappearing thanks to the internet, and by the time it hits the US, people are saying goodbye. Only the 3 people on the ISS survive
In germany it’s physically impossible for ups to find your address. Just can’t do it
There’s something magical about working with ASTs. I normally don’t need to use them, but when I do my power feels limitless
Really good UX on GitHub when creating a PR with lots of changed files and the inputs slow to a crawl. 11/10 great job!

Hi I wrote about my struggle to use variable fonts on macOS with SwiftUI and how I got it to work. Maybe you’ll find it useful, too. mike-engel.com/writing/vari...
