A really horrible and painful and everlasting stye has messed up my painting ambitions for this week but hopefully I'll be able to resume Septempera next week.

Wood. Gouache on paper. 5th one for #septembera. A sort of mock cover for a story of a girl that becomes a dryad. Got a bit overambitious, got away from me for a moment, took a bit more sweat and a bit more tweaking than usual. But I think it worked out in the end.

Stone. Gouache on paper. 4th one for #septempera. There's a village near where I live where there's this tree that awkwardly hugs the last remnants of a stone wall. I've been wanting to paint it for a while. And I took the chance to put in a tiny homage to a favorite of mine, Rien Poortvliet.
