Oh well after 6 games Leatherhead are knocked out by Yeovil in the 4th qualifying round replay tonight. No cup run for us again this year. Still a good run though.

Interesting read about how the NT has mismanaged their take over of the Ironbridge museums. Much of this this has been confirmed over our last few visits by the many locals we know. All very disappointing... spectator.com/article/what...
What has the National Trust done to Ironbridge Gorge?
The Trust says it does want to reopen the other sites. I get, too, that it inherited an institution in financial difficulty.

Feckless drivers everywhere today, 2 psycho deer, loads of tractors & Oktoberfest at our refuge, the Six Bells Newdigate. How lovely it is to be back riding home roads again (sarcasm).
39 years ago this morning we woke up here, 53 Stevens Close Epsom. The radio alarm came on & the news said, do not travel, leave home, power is out, trees are down, roads are blocked. How come we had power? we were on the same ring as the hospital! Oh & we both got to work. The Great Storm of 1987.
Had an appointment in Epsom this afternoon, so instead of driving we took the train. Original plan was the Spoons, but headed 1st to the Rising Sun, it was so good we never moved on. Big Smoke beers on cask & keg, all excellent 👌 Friendly staff & reasonable prices, we will return 👍
Another couple of photos from the 2003 GABF in Denver, beard has changed a bit 😀
A French beer for a French win 🏆 I have seen the future...
Best Beer Names from the past, this one was well thought out...Being sour it was pretty close to the truth also!
A wet day so some sorting, chucking out & looking in boxes that haven't been looked in for years... Ooo what do we have here? A ticket stub from the 2003 & a flyer from the 2004 Great American Beer Festival in Denver! We also went in 05 + a much loved & lamented Falling Rock beer menu.
Catching up on posts I didn't get around to on the last trip. De Tere Pleke, the bar that refused to die. Officially Dranouter, but actually on the main road between Loker & Baileul on the border. Suddenly loved again, new roof, terrace inside unchanged. Great looking food, one to keep an eye on.
Happy Monday morning folks. To brighten the start of your week a photo of @beerbabe-uk.bsky.social & me just after finishing the 2016 Gulbergen 24 Hour MTB race n Eindhoven. 10 years ago, how did that happen?
Todays beers as we toasted Major Henry Kelly VC MC & Bar were obviously from the Brasserie De La Somme 😉
110 years ago today, Oct 4th 1916 2nd Lieutenant Henry Kelly led a group of soldiers over the top between Le Sars & Eaucourt l'Abbaye during the Battle of the Somme. Reaching the German trenches they caused havoc before being forced to retreat. He carried his Company Sargent back to the British
Some people say that Brexit was divisive, so Rejoin would be divisive. No! Brexit was about division. It tore us apart from our European neighbours. It won by spreading hate and xenophobia. Rejoining is about reunion and homecoming. It is about healing and joy. It is the antidote to division.
6 months from posting to delivery!!! Must try harder Royal Mail.
Got to do a little explore after the race on Saturday, there's a lot of wood with beer in it at Bierkasteel.
