Saturday was our last night at Morrells Wood Farm Leighton, a super quiet relaxing place to stay. Evening meal down at the Mill was fabulous 👌 Goats cheese pizza for @beerbabe-uk.bsky.social & Shrops lamb faggots which were on another level, so good I had to find the chef to tell him. Must get back

Cyclist, mostly gravel & fat, & beer lover. Au 'Roy' De La Biere.
What a find we had yesterday, the Hare & Hounds in Withington a proper village pub between Telford & Shrewsbury. HPA, Enville, Butty & Ludlow Stairway on tap plus at least 15 empties from various breweries outside. Not in the GBBG but should be as it's one of the best we've found in a long while.
Back on the bikes for a little tester ride. Ended up at the Horsehoes in Uckington, Mobberley Best & Pale from Cheshire, we've had better to be honest.
Reward for hiking up the step side of the Wrekin today, Butty Bach at the Huntsman Little Wenlock 😀 @beerbabe-uk.bsky.social
Day 3 of our Shropshire trip, the BIG one. Margaret @barwell2.bsky.social 90th birthday, @beerbabe-uk.bsky.social Mum. Her day was made super special by her 82 year old brother Paul, wife Julia & Judy's cousin Liz who made the torturace journey from Tadcaster, where pubs are reopening apparently 😳
Another terrible & shocking day in cycling, #RIP Finley Tarling just 19 😥

A great eclipse shot taken by a friend from the rooftop bar at Bar Bernard.
Sitting in the garden meteorite watching, so far 1 meteorite 3 satellites & 4 hedgehogs!
Hot long way round wandle to the Six Bells Newdigate Verdant Lightbulb hits the spot though.
ANNOUNCEMENT: All our sundials will be out of order this evening between about 6pm and 8pm, we apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. Normal service will resume tomorrow. In unrelated news, enjoy the eclipse later... Photos: Mike Selby, Annapurna Mellor, Chris Davies, John Millar

Maybe not enough dirt for us but it certainly sums up why we love heading to Belgium with our bikes so much. Lots of classic cobbles, climbs, beers & breweries. A great watch. www.youtube.com/watch?v=n-gG...

@the-handy-andy.bsky.social could you do me a favor & check the mum's mattress is 4'6" wide. Also from the ground to the bottom of the mattress what's the height please ? Before we go any further. Ta
The fruits of our travels. Must admit I wish more Duvel Krush had come home with us, well tropical nose & a fruity sweet IPA. Certainly not in your face like some Duvels can be.
A duo of Westmalle Duo at the village bar 't Vertier on our final evening.
33c as we passed the Sparhof, nr Dranouter & they were open so in we popped. Rewarded with 2 very generous 33cl pours of Fourchette 👌
Tractors galore today, just a shame we got their route wrong & sat in a bar for a few hours waiting for them to pass! Spectacular none the less.
Not a bad 1st tractor of the day here in Westouter #flyingtractor Was told a great quote from an old farmer when asked why he used his old tractor & not the new one, he said "because every step up into the seat is a extra million Belgium Francs". I think this one was at the High end of his scale.
