Okay Tokon won't even start up anymore after upgrading my driver. This is on top of the constant slowdown issues I get in friggin' training mode of all things. Gonna try for a refund, slim chance but either way I don't wanna play this in its current state. Abysmal.
Yesterday I learned that haute42 caps can fit inside PWS buttons so now I have way more color variety besides "transparent color" 😂
My current verdict on Tokon: It's almost there. There is a good game in there, I have fun hitting buttons and doing combos when the game manages to run proper, but god the PC version is ass. I'm sure they'll be able to fix it up, but this is one hell of a rocky start. Fuck Sony.

Fun fact: Skullomania's super, Skullo Dream, has a secret where if you correctly do a sequence of inputs during the super, the animation slightly changes and he shoots a laser at the end. It doesn't do any more damage, it just looks cool. You also get a special KO screen if you kill with it!

Juri got some new buffs this patch. She's starting to feel more "complete", as there are things that Juri mains have been asking for since Season 1. More combo options after punish HK and b.HK into Ankensatsu are nice, but the big one is jabjabjab on block is now real! cr.MP has less range though..

Finished up the Gokusen movie, and the live-action series as a whole. The first half is more or less a sped-up episode of the show, but the 2nd half turns into a full-blown Yakuza game. I still enjoyed it and the guest appearances of past students and what they're doing nowadays. 8/10 overall
Just finished up Gokusen S3 More of the same. If anything the fact that it doesn't end like the last two seasons is sort of a surprise. Kuma being a mainstay throughout was a funny surprise, but it was cool seeing his growth through the whole series. Last up is the movie to call it a wrap.
Finished up Gokusen Season 2 It's the same ol' but in a new school. It's 99% the same as season 1. But I still got misty-eyed by the end. It's a formula, but when you have a consistently strong charismatic cast of students and Yankumi, it still manages to work out.
Fun fact: 22 years after the end of the live-action Sailor Moon TV series, the five co-stars are still friends to this day. This was taken on Miyuu Sawai's birthday this past October.
Tokon's been stuck frozen on this when I was trying to get it to run. Yeah I'm done with the beta, if anyone else can actually get it to run then cool. I don't even wanna bother with this game anymore.
Gonna start drawing again tomorrow proper. I took a little break to watch some old jdramas but I wanna get the pen moving again.
Started Gokusen Season 2 and already I spotted Teppei, Mokomichi, and those two dudes from KAT-TUN lol Seeing Teppei Koike trying to be yankii was one of the funniest things ever.
Finished up Gokusen Season 1. It is a very formulaic story of “rough and tough teacher teaches a bunch of thuggish school kids with hearts of gold about life and friendship”, but it’s still a fun formula and I was entertained. Now onto Season 2, with that crisp 1080p instead of the crunchy 480 lol
Can't believe it's been 10 years since Kabaneri came out. Despite the dull 2nd half, I enjoyed the series a lot and lamented over the lack of a 2nd season. It's okay though, we got to see the return of Mumei and Ayame via Bocchi the Rock (they share the same VAs)
