Making myself not fiddle with this Senshi base by starting to add the matte finish. Once I get another layer on, I'll add the gloss finish to the broth. Then it's on to Senshi himself!
I think I'm gonna call the food done. Might add some high varnish in a few spots to pop the broth, we'll see.
Had to reprint the base for Vash and I'm glad I did. Somehow the first attempt printed backwards??? No idea how. Also it lost so much detail and had worpped. Most likely user error. Things will sit a 1000% better now. XD
Wound down with some painting last night. While I'm OK with some parts, I'm not happy with how dull the black base made the rug color. So... I'm gonna see how it looks with a purple/pink base instead.
Using the next couple days to catch up on work. Hate when I feel like I'm behind.

Starting printing this figure of San two days ago and quickly realized I underestimated the size of it. First half of the base took over 12 hrs. The second half took over 13! So glad to be printing the figures now.
Bust illustration done! Woo! On to cleaning up a ref sheet and then stickers. Let's crush the to do list! A leather bag commission will be tomorrows plan! Updates this evening
Also started working on painting my Senshi figure last night. Gotta remember how to paint with acrylic again. XD
Was working on this commission and realized I was making it ten times harder on myself for no reason. So I backed up, reworked things and now I'm back on track. It's been a hard leason to learn, but glad I got it.
Realized two hours (halfway) through a print that I forgot to put the build plate back on after cleaning. Go me! Cleaned out the tank and got it restarted.
OK hockey folks, I've had Vapors for well over a decade now, it I'm thinking I need to change it up. I've had to get wider toe-box workout shoes, so maybe that needs to carry over. But I like the narror fit of the vapors. Anyone have suggestions? CCM Jetspeeds have been recommended. Thoughts?

For those that paint models and small detailed figures, does it matter if you use regular acrylic paints and mediums? Or should you stick to model paints for better results? Some of these have a lot of details so I wanna do it right. I swore I wouldn't get into this hobby, but here we are. XD

Woo! Finally got Etsy to process a payment. Good grief that was a pain in the ass. Still waiting on my new debit card to show up, so I'm having to do a whole lot of juggling around. 😩
Also, happy to say that while it was hot as hell at the event yesterday (100°+), most people stayed home. 🌟 Yay!! 🌟 It turned out to be the least amount of people I've ever seen and least amount of work I've ever had to do for an event. Can't tell you how happy I was about that!
When the 3D printers own slicing program doesn't make files in the required format for their own printer... I mean, I know it's an older printer, but wtf I've gone back to the one I had been using before. This one also doesn't crash all the time, like the company one does.
This will eventually be my all time favorite badass, Aloy! For now it's just legs. Still have a lot of sanding and touch ups to do. I'll have to work up the courage to paint her. Design by Bulkamancer
But I'm getting sketches done at least. And set up a prints for Vash model and the big base for my Cult of the lamb model. I'll print those when the temp comes back down to a reasonable level.
Trying to chill today. Really wish they'd cancel tomorrows festival so we don't have to die outside in 100°+ heat for 6 hours, working and cleaning up after the crowds.
