Just binge watched Mr Inbetween in three days. So good. Writing is brilliant. Character arcs for everyone are great. No sentimentality. And, very wisely, gets out on a high. Something of The Wire about it.

This is my Batman (along with the 1960s Adam West). I 𝘭𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘥 this version. I had the action figures, started drawing comics in silhouettes and watched it all the time (early Cartoon Network adopter). Absolutely iconic, and whoever thought Batman should have 1930s noir style costuming is a wonder.
‘Batman: The Animated Series’ premiered on this day 34 years ago! (September 5, 1992) 🦇 Created by Bruce Timm & Eric Radomski. Voice cast: Kevin Conroy, Arleen Sorkin, Mark Hamill, Efrem Zimbalist Jr., Loren Lester, Bob Hastings, Robert Costanzo, Richard Moll, Mari Devon, & more. #OnThisDay #BTAS
I've am incredible urge to collect #skaven. Never played them before, sonyeven play AoS or WFB anymore but those lil rats guys are very appealing. #warhammercommunity
Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma was like watching a YouTube video essay about Two Many Cooks.
Tippett's MAD GOD was a piece of proper cinema art. A singular vision, eeked out in spare time over decades. He, and his studio, have created dozens and dozens of legendary cinematic moments. To have it all broken up and sold off in a glorified car boot is a crime against cinema preservation.
One last look inside Tippett Studio. The legendary f/x house is closing, and its models, props & precious artifacts are being sold off. I spent a day inside the workshop, surrounded by Star Wars, RoboCop, Jurassic Park & decades of handmade movie magic. www.popculturalprecursors.com/p/one-last-l...
Another incredible @greenmanfest.bsky.social over! Tyler Ballpark, Garth Marenghi, Zack Polanski and, of course, Wolf Alice were highlights this year. Huge love to Little Folk that create a beautiful, creative and inclusive area every year for the festival's children.
I've never been much of an Austen fan but this mailout from @curzon.com certainly makes the latest release sound good.
Currently exploring #snak28 by 5R of Sugar Candy Miniatures, and absolutely loving it. The games coming out of zine punk are so evocative and I find much more compelling.
@leadpunkzine.bsky.social who did the cover illustration for Lead Punk #1? It's awesome!
Thanks to Troublemaker Games for this fantastic @countbinface.bsky.social mini, as well as a mini of this other bloke who is mired in trash and hangs out with rats, who bears no resemblance to anyone at all (I am legally obliged to say, probably).

@culexus.bsky.social Where are the minis in your profile header from?
Just saw a thing where a director talked about taking out sex/nudity because audiences don’t want to see it. Here’s an idea: fuck the audience. I’m the chef & they’ll eat what I serve them and like it. *The audience* knows what they want? Why don’t you let a toddler drive a car next?
Exciting to receive Oathmark 2nd edition from @ospreygames.bsky.social today. Some interesting changes in this ed. and looking forward to getting it on the table.
Great news: the talks from Jubensha Con are now available online for FREE! Big thanks to our amazing speakers for agreeing to this, and to Joe Strickland at @chronicinsanity.bsky.social for producing the videos. A lot of much bigger and more expensive conferences don't do this – but we just did.

Totally not related to any situation that might be going on right now in the hobby community : Being political neutral doesn't exist, it is a political stance in itself. And why would you want to be neutral against fascists, homophobes and transphobes?

"Daddy, why did we need a new Prime Minister?" asks my 4yo.
I don't know what #Jimothy is, and at this point I'm too afraid to ask.
Do you have a copy of the Reader's Digest Folklore, Myths and Legends? I've written about it for the @theobserveruk.bsky.social this weekend. observer.co.uk/news/nationa...
Any game that has some form of "remember when DnD used be X" is the RPG equivalent of when comedians say "you can't make jokes about anything anymore!". It's just a form of saying "remember when bigotry didn't have consequences!".
Been thinking about that kinda naff looking but apparently hugely successful (financially at least) new Deathbringer rpg, guess the thing I find vaguely interesting with all the imagery and ‘back to the old school’ marketing copy is just how incredibly mid/late 90s rather than 70s/80s it feels

In her new film #TheInvite, it feels like Olivia Wilde finds a style of directing that is her. Thoughtful framing, the length of shots, a European sensibility to it whilst obviously referencing works like Guess Who's Coming to Dinner, Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf as well as Cesc Gay's original.
I love this from Gerard Way. Such a class touch.
Gerard Way dedicated ‘Vampires Will Never Hurt You’ to the late, visionary #Warhammer40k illustrator John Blanche during the last night of #MyChemicalRomance's shows at the Wembley Stadium www.wargamer.com/warhammer-40...
