Great news: the talks from Jubensha Con are now available online for FREE! Big thanks to our amazing speakers for agreeing to this, and to Joe Strickland at @chronicinsanity.bsky.social for producing the videos. A lot of much bigger and more expensive conferences don't do this – but we just did.

Totally not related to any situation that might be going on right now in the hobby community : Being political neutral doesn't exist, it is a political stance in itself. And why would you want to be neutral against fascists, homophobes and transphobes?

"Daddy, why did we need a new Prime Minister?" asks my 4yo.
I don't know what #Jimothy is, and at this point I'm too afraid to ask.
Do you have a copy of the Reader's Digest Folklore, Myths and Legends? I've written about it for the @theobserveruk.bsky.social this weekend. observer.co.uk/news/nationa...
Any game that has some form of "remember when DnD used be X" is the RPG equivalent of when comedians say "you can't make jokes about anything anymore!". It's just a form of saying "remember when bigotry didn't have consequences!".
Been thinking about that kinda naff looking but apparently hugely successful (financially at least) new Deathbringer rpg, guess the thing I find vaguely interesting with all the imagery and ‘back to the old school’ marketing copy is just how incredibly mid/late 90s rather than 70s/80s it feels

In her new film #TheInvite, it feels like Olivia Wilde finds a style of directing that is her. Thoughtful framing, the length of shots, a European sensibility to it whilst obviously referencing works like Guess Who's Coming to Dinner, Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf as well as Cesc Gay's original.
Discovered today that my old housemate is married to Count Binface. Small world.
Always good getting the new edition of @secretpassageszine.bsky.social. Particularly enjoying the @gavthorpe.bsky.social interview and Trish Carden's article about GW's first dragon.
Received the Maus! miniatures from @westfaliaminis.bsky.social today and they are wonderful. So much detail and character packed into such a small space! Love these lil guys.
Very cool to have MakeBeth announced at Shakespeare's Globe! Currently on tour, it'll be coming to London in the autumn. Been fab to direct this and work with Hannah, Sam and the cast. 💀🗡️🩸 www.shakespearesglobe.com/whats-on/mak...

What is our continued arc towards #grimdark in games about? Is it still a repudiation of Tokien/Lewis moralistic fantasy? Has it become a cultural eddy that we struggle to escape from? Is it a reflection of our increasingly damaged world where evil acts are so obviously unpunished? Your thoughts?
Got Glaive issue 3 (thanks @wyrdscience.bsky.social!) and it's packed with awesome weird stuff. Particularly enjoying @wittlegoblin.bsky.social Obscure Offerings section just suggesting cool things to look at. Also the SmashBash interview and Philosophy of Painting are very nice, chewy brain stuff.
I have found it! After a month of searching! It was from Brigade Models. brigademodels.co.uk/product/jone...

Need help! Found a mini I loved the other day. Was a sci fi cat, mercenary style, with kit and a gun etc. Mini was named Charlie or something like that. Grouped with ALIENS proxies I'm sure. Any ideas? @fenrisgames.com @badsquiddogames.bsky.social @nic-the-mammoth.bsky.social @heresyminiatures.com
Received Horse War from @forbiddenpsalm.bsky.social today - and it absolutely slaps. Completely bonkers, kit bashing opportunities aplenty and a total riot. Going to getting it to the tabletop very soon.
Very sad to hear about John Blanche. His artwork has spawned an entire sub-genre painting style, and his aesthetic shapes GW's style even now. His Ork artwork gets less attention than his better known pieces (SoB, Inquisitors and Imperium weirdness) but this Weirdboy is my favourite.
Got my copy today of Hope is for the Dead by @forbiddenpsalm.bsky.social, and looking forward to playing tonight!
So hope is for the dead won best miniatures game at Games Expo. Woop Woop, you can grab it on my store in the UK www.forbiddenpsalm.com/store and at @spacepenguinink.bsky.social for US
My young lad painted his first miniature today. I'm so incredibly proud. #warhammercommunity #minipainting
A truly incredible Gaslands army crosses the TL, so good I had to share it
