Sometimes I look at my notifications and I'm like: "Why are you following me? What did I even do that interested you? You know I'm just some autistic queer lady happy-posting about anime half of the time, and the other half I'm old lady yelling at cloud about video games right?"

My game design dreams: One day, I wanna make an Arcade game... You get to design like, not just the software, but The Entire Experience! The cabinet, the control scheme, the hardware itself! I wanna be able to create an experience you can't do justice with just a gamepad or keyboard and mouse...

Pain in the arse to resize OBS resolution every time I wanna record my game, so you get borders now. Anyway, I put fruits and pits in there, I'll be working on more items and enemies uhh... Hopefully soon... Also, minor palette overhaul, only noticeable in the clouds and sun in the background.

Y'know... On the one hand, I think I'm enjoying watching my gf play FF6 a lot more than I enjoyed playing it myself... On the other hand, watching her play it is also making me want to pick it back up again and finally finish that last dungeon... Perhaps after a bit of grinding...

Started watching Bandori Yumemita! I've been waiting THE WHOLE YEAR for this! And now that the show has finished airing (and I finished the pottery show) I can watch it the way I like~ One ep a day, every day~ But MY GOSH THIS SHOW IS ALREADY MY WHOLE VIBE~❤️ We'll see how they'll subvert it xD

"The Magilulu Opening Song!" excitedly declares the protagonist, Arale.Screenshot of Bandori Yumemita.
"Yay!" Nono-chan celebrates in the distance, while Arale looks giddily at something off-screen.Screenshot of Bandori Yumemita.
"She complimented me!" says Nono-chan happily, while Yuno looks at her with a blank expression.

Just finished watching Yaku Nara Mug Cup Mo. It's a show about cute girls doing pottery, but it's also a show about family relations and friendships, and it tackles all of those subjects with utmost tact, respect and seriousness, all while remaining just the most wholesome thing~❤️ Truly Fantastic!

"Your hard work paid off, Hime-chan." says Naoko. Both of them are staring at the mugs Himeno made, their faces expressing a mix of pride, satisfaction and profound happiness.Screenshot of Yaku Nara Mug Cup Mo: Niban Gama's Final Episode.
"I kind of made one to match each of you without realising." says Himeno.
The screen shows the expressions of various different characters, each holding a mug especially made for them, which they visibly appreciate.Screenshot of Yaku Nara Mug Cup Mo: Niban Gama's Final Episode.
The characters are eating together around a table, all happy and excited.
"It's good, right?" someone says.Screenshot of Yaku Nara Mug Cup Mo: Niban Gama's Final Episode.

"Nao-chan, cheers!" says Himeno.

Ok so like... I still prefer the visuals, general art-direction and control scheme of the 3DS version but well... I'm open to a new take on my favourite Zelda game. But it'll probably take YEEEEARS until I actually get to play it because, y'know, I'm poor...

And how much has removing them done to actually increase the reach of the genre? Looking at 2XKO I'd say probably not much... Heck, even Melee players started inventing their own motion commands to make the game more fun for themselves...

There we go, I beat Super Mario Bros on the Master System! I spent more time on world 8 alone than in worlds 1~7 combined... I'm tired... Bloody good port though! Absolutely worth playing!

Mario and Peach stand in the middle of the screen.
"Thank you Mario! Your quest is over. We present you a new quest. Push button 2 to select a world." says the on-screen text.

So I was trying to play FF1 right... But there's these awful, overly long, really mentally draining and patience-testing dungeons with pretty much nothing worthwhile at the end... I took a break from the game after getting to the end of the 3rd one and like... I just found out they're optional...

Haven't posted much about gamedev for a while because, well, there was just nothing to show... Welp, here's something! At the moment it's little more than a graphics showcase, as I'm having to re-do this basically from scratch to accommodate for the VASTLY Improved new GB Studio version.
