Here’s the entire diorama. It started as an attempt to improve my technique in blending and highlighting skin tones. Once I finished the orc figure, I thought it would look nice set in a tropical rain forest diorama, with the orc as a hunter. #miniatures #nerdlings #dioramas

Had dinner once with Gunnar Hansen, the actor who played Leatherface in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. My wife was working for the company publishing his book, Islands at the Edge of Time; A Journey to America's Barrier Islands. He was the nicest guy and utterly unlike his character in the movie.

Reaching deep into my collection for something green. Here’s a Citadel Ogre from the early 1980’s. #miniatures #prehammer #nerdlings

A figure of an ogre with war hammer and shield. His skin is green, he is wearing a beige leather one piece outfit, and he has a skull on a rope that he wears around his neck. His mouth is open displaying bright white teeth with some blood from a previous encounter. He is painted with decent detail, but without any shading or highlighting, just some black outlining. The base is covered with a gloppy mix of sand and white glue. (This a pretty good reflection of where I was as a painter back then.)

Finally getting some photos of my minis posted. These are To-Tanem warriors, children of Ptah, made for the game WarGods of Aegyptus. I painted them a while ago but am just now getting decent pictures of them.
