The epigraph to POCKET BEAR is from a Mary Oliver poem: "Keep some room in your heart for the unimaginable." That line reminds me so much of middle-grade readers. They have so much room in their tender hearts. 💛🧸
Thanks y'all. We made the supposedly uncrackable bestseller list for middle grade novels. It is typically dominated by huge names as you can see. So, this is a real triumph. The next-shortest tenure on the list is 7 weeks and most have been on the last for close to a year.
