I wrote a Harry Potter Geeklude and Fugue back when Trio Menagerie was just starting out. We basically haven't performed it live at a convention since MFF 2021, for the reasons stipulated in the post being quoted. Solidarity with our trans brothers and sisters isn't hard, guys. It really ain't.

Many people have mentioned that the Malfoid trend has gotten them to purchase HP related items, such as the movies, slytherin costumes, Hogwarts Legacy, etc. Even "harmless" fanart promotes consumption of HP, which harms trans people who have asked you to stop. www.advocate.com/news/jk-rowl...

"My little butterfly wings are getting kinda tired." Dolly knew the power of leading with love. She is, and will always be, an inspiration and an example. She's been a guiding light in my life and so many others. An angel on earth went home. We'll always love you, Dolly.

I think everyone should see this incredible picture of Dolly Parton: it’s by Stacie Williams (asterosperma on Instagram) and it’s called The Queen of Appalachia

A stunning screenprint image in a style which is part folk art, part religious icon. Dolly Parton sits on a throne-like wooden chair, surrounded by garlands of flowers and leaves. Orange butterflies (I think they are monarchs?) hover around her head. Her hair is huge and golden, and she is wearing a long, sweeping orange gown, which is turned up over her knee to show off her brown knee length high heeled boots. Two black bear cubs play around her, one on the floor and one in her lap. Dolly stares calmly at the viewer. Her right hand is raised in benediction, and in her left she holds a ripe strawberry which she is feeding to one of the bear cubs. No, Sam Neill. Great actor across many roles, but the life he brought to the scientist who taught, learned, and cared for others in Jurassic Park will always be treasured by this kid who recorded that trailer on VHS and wore it out until June 11, 1993. RIP🦖 www.bbc.com/news/live/cr...

Sam Neill, Jurassic Park and Peaky Blinders actor, dies aged 78

The New Zealand actor, who was born in Northern Ireland, died in Sydney. He had recovered from cancer and "the loss was sudden and unexpected", his family says.
