Last game of a Mets season that will be remembered with, uhh, mixed feelings. Blunders in the front office vs. an amazing class of rookie outfielders and pitchers. A manager floundering vs. finding one with tremendous promise. Saying a soft goodbye to a legend in the radio booth.
HUGE: Autozone workers just won the first ever union at the company. Despite Autozone spending an estimated $210,696 and using every tactic in the book to stop just 11 workers from forming a union, the small shop in New York chose to unionize today. These workers will now join the @uaw.org.
With the untimely losses of Bo Lueders and Andy Williams this year in the hardcore scene, and now Howie Rose’s retirement, I’m reminded that whatever you do in life should be done to lift others up. Acts of kindness small and large get amplified and affect people in ways you’ll never know.
