This is a wonky process but BIG news regarding the Republican budget bill: My staff successfully got multiple provisions removed from the bill. Two key wins: 1) Medicaid provider tax. Striking this means Republicans have to backtrack on hundreds of billions in Medicaid cuts.

People are rightfully worried that the gutting of #ACIP will result in insurance NOT covering vaccines. I don’t see that happening. Vaccines prevent costly illnesses/ hospitalizations. If there is ONE thing that motivates insurance companies to do the right thing, it’s saving $

Why should you care about #Medicaid even if YOU don’t use Medicaid? B/c cutting it will result in closure of #pediatric services for ALL kids. Imagine a bakery that sells 🥧 . If 50% of patrons can’t pay for 🥧 , then you can’t stay in business to bake for patrons that CAN pay.
