YES I think we need to shift towards readers/audience being more proactive in keeping indie spaces alive now- there's only so many times an artist can move platforms before they burn out- and making a website isn't as viable for a lot of people!

Re: Tapas Readers (and everyone in general including myself) really need to get on board with having a rss feed.

I still think "make your own website" is best. But we can't pretend it's so cheap and easy for everyone. And audiences don't just show up at an independent site. Acting superior for having your own site doesn't help people who now have to scramble to replace audience and income.

everyone wants to tell artists what to do and i wish we could shift to telling audiences what to do sometimes. if you liked webcomics that were on tapas, follow somewhere else. learn to use RSS. don't let the seamlessness of apps turn your brain into soup. you can change your habits

yeah it's annoying that i'm seeing little sympathy from comic creators for anyone losing income via tapas :/ like it doesn't need to be your exclusive platform to be a place you're making money from and not everyone on tapas is going to follow all their fave comics to comicfury or whatever

I think one thing that I think is frustrating from the Tapas news (which we still haven't seen a statement from the English site) is the well-meaning comic people with the advice that you need to diversify. I have. Multiple times. I have my own website. Tapas is my biggest readership anyway.

I'm not much of a Pokémon person, but my son is & trying to buy him cards at retail prices has been nigh on impossible the last couple of years, and I refuse to pay scalpers for anything. He was taken to VantaaAirport, boarded on a private ambulance flight operated by Jetflite (Flight:OH-WIW) which landed in New Jersey Teterboro Airport,18:40 Finnish time (11.40am NJ time).
