Really happy to see this out, done during my wonderful visit to @lhd.bsky.social in Vermont🍃🍁❄️ Including temporal group dynamics in higher-order contagion reshapes the phase portrait, and when using features from real-world data, multistable active phases emerge naturally 🤩🤩

🚨 🚨 How do group dynamics shape contagion onsets and multistable active phases under collective reinforcement? 👉 arxiv.org/abs/2603.28566 @santiagolaot.bsky.social @federicomalizia.bsky.social @leahkeating.bsky.social @gstonge.bsky.social V. Latora @gomezgardenes.bsky.social & @lhd.bsky.social

Here's another new article in @commsphys.nature.com, this time about higher-order interactions! We demonstrate that sparse group-based interactions, which are commonplace in today's digital societies, promote social polarisation. This is especially relevant given the current tense situation.

1/6 And another article out in @commsphys.nature.com Sparse group interactions polarize…but dense group interactions moderate!! Polarization emerges as a structural effect of how groups are organized: www.nature.com/articles/s42...

I'm really happy to see this article being published! I find it very intriguing that the topology of genotype networks, which reflects the exploration of the antigenic space, can alone be enough to explain seasonality in epidemic trajectories.

1/7 🚨 New article out in @commsphys.nature.com We show that viral 🦠 evolution is best captured through complex genotype networks, whose topology alone can drive oscillatory endemic dynamics and epidemic variability: www.nature.com/articles/s42...

Really happy to see this out in PRX Life! There you can find an eco-evolutionary framework integrating the evolution of viral infectiousness and antigenic features. While the former determines contagion events among hosts, the latter tells us how quickly viruses can escape population immunity 1/4👇
