#GBCamtober2026 Day 4 - Smile the cheerfulness of these halloween-y characters I saw on these seasonal balloons in the grocery was infectious
#GBCamtober2026 Day 3 - Cars unreleased gameboy port of Gran Turismo 2 jk, it's 30 frames of poorly played GT 2 captured using time-lapse mode & turned into an animation didn't come across anything car related that sparked my excitement in time for today, so I had to think outside the box a little
today is bandcamp friday, so here's a code to make my music cost 4596% more
Sabrepulse is at it again lmao honestly I feel bad for his fans who spend money on the releases only for bandcamp to eventually remove them for being AI generared, I wonder if they get their money back?

Emulating the OPZ the HARD way

The OPP/OPM is the voice of the Yamaha DX21, DX100, TX81Z, and even CX5M computer -- and video game classics like Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter II. This isn't just another emulation: it's grounded in years of hard work with hardware. And it turns out to be a great synth, full stop.
Mortal FM Kombat: Plogue’s meticulous OPMZ Yamaha emulation totally slaps - CDM Create Digital Music
We're awash with emulations at the moment, but this one is on another level. The chip that powered everything from Yamaha’s little-known CX5M computer to the best 80s FM synths and video game masterpi...

Furnace Tracker has over 100 contributors. Do you believe that none of them used AI to create enhacements?

imagine cowardly subtweeting ragebait leading directly to harassment instead of collaboratively voicing your views in an open conversation. you are literally talking to a specific person ("you"). the capitalist owner class is the problem; your myopic, divisive fingerpointing at users is wreckerism.
Instead of using AI to help you make chiptune trackers, I recommend finding community in like-minded devs to help you do that. Seemed to work pretty well for the Furnace Tracker folks.
risa tracker was taken down, but at least sam altman and elon musk are still doing just fine
it's so heartening to see chiptune infighting instead of fostering community to rise up against the tech oligarchs but hey what the fuck do i know
at first, this final release was just sort of on a whim, but as I worked on it, I began to think back on all the time I've spent doing this, all the places it took me, and all the people I've met because of it. I absolutely wouldn't be the person I am today without these experiences.
Septabee story is back. I went off to deal with some other issues. Hopefully clearer about what I think of this, and why I think it's fun -- even with a lot of "DAWs" spontaneously appearing at the moment. Sometimes it's good to have something completely dodgy and insane.
Septabee, an insane-looking free Linux/Windows DAW with pomegranates - CDM Create Digital Music
Suddenly, a bunch of the producers I follow are buzzing about the music-mangling possibilities of Septabee, a free DAW for Linux and Windows developed "in secret" over "20,000 hours." And it looks lik...

as an aside, for the next 24 hours, all sales will go directly to me, instead of bandcamp taking a cut. that means your purchase directly supports an attractive middle-aged trans woman still working a retail job who mostly just wants to make music, eat mexican food and kiss women.
