why hasn't circulating the acknowledgements section of a dissertation to all mentioned in there been normalized? i just occasionally found myself mentioned in the diss's of a couple of department friends, which i had no idea about, while looking up how the diss should be formatted.

By the way, a week ago, I defended my dissertation - credit is due to the best committee who have inspired and supported me throughout these crazy years (@saumjha.bsky.social, @Steve, and @Vicky, in a purely alphabetical order). Next stop: TBA once a visa gets approved (nothing new under the sun).

Friends and colleagues, I'll be at MPSA this Friday through Sunday, and if you'd like to catch up, now is the perfect time! I'm leaving the US in June and have a strong suspicion that I won't be back for a while :-) If you'd like to grab a coffee or a beer, do let me know!
