Murmur-ations

With the third draft of my dystopian novel out to beta readers, I missed writing my blog, but I wanted it to change. What began as a blog about me and my daughter merged into the highs and lows of creative writing. DeckWriting will become Murmur-ations: a blog about reading, writing and roaming.

Paula Gilfillan's review of The Tenderness of Wolves

4/5: I loved this book so much, I read it twice. Female tropes are shoved out of the way, like clearing snow from a pathway with a shovel, and male tropes are ditched as if they were a rider on a buck...

Book Review: The Girl With All The Gifts. 'So lets get down to the food choice for this book - a curry. Sweet, spicy and utterly fulfilling. I will also say, this is the second time I've read this book, and like a good spag bol, the reheated version is always tastier.' #deckyswritewithyou #mrcarey

Paula Gilfillan's review of The Girl with All the Gifts (The Girl With All the Gifts, #1)

4/5: So, if you've read any of my book reviews before, you've probably guessed that I'm, along with my cat, food centric. When I worked as a school librarian, I found food was a good analogy for rel...
