Thirty West’s 2nd 10 Year Anniversary is going live at A Novel Idea on 11/22 from 5-7PM. We have local legends and TW favorites. It is BYOB, prizes, no cover, and local afterparty to follow the event. Celebrate indie press & small business for one memorable night.
Idc how obnoxious it is, I’m obsessed with these book earrings 😭🥰
Late Nights at Fullmoon Records by @saraheedmonds.bsky.social is a wonderful cozy novella-length, horror adjacent story perfect for the autumn.
#HorrorWritersChat question 4 (last question but stick around in ten minutes for the outro): It’s a difficult time for indie authors. Tell us about an indie horror author and their book that you read and enjoyed that others should read this autumn.

✨Book news ✨ I’m incredibly excited to work with @ltdavila.bsky.social and @inkedingraypress.bsky.social on my first full length novel! EVERY BREATH (forthcoming 2027) is an adult speculative romance novel full of Norse mythology and Icelandic folklore. I can’t wait to share it with you all ❤️
Currently planning a seminar for an MFA residency next week and it’s SO surreal to have gone through the program and now be invited back as a visiting author 🥹
I get to pick up the prettiest set of embossed hardcover Jane Austen novels today and I’m so excited 😍
I have been absolutely dying to shout about something ✨exciting✨ for months now and I am VERY close to being able to! (The silence is mostly self-imposed lol but) I am practically vibrating at this point lmao
Had the best time at “A Queer Book Fair” last night!! ❤️❤️❤️ shout out to my mom for letting me drag her along (jk, she’s the best ☺️) (P.S. If you zoom in on the table in the first pic you might learn a secret 🤫 or maybe not, idk if the photo quality is clear enough lol)
So stoked to be a part of the Queer Book Fair this year!! I’ll be reading and will have a few books for sale, so stop on by if you’re in the area! 🥰
Well, it’s happened. Publishing scientific research has officially led to me being asked to peer review for a scientific journal. My Masters’ are in English and Creative Writing. I have never felt more under qualified in my life lmao
Bottled some pomegranate/cranberry and some pine/maple mead the other day! Off to get more honey later this week. Any suggestions for what flavors I should make next?? 👀
The fact that all of my students work exclusively in Google Docs hurts my soul 😩 I get it, I do, but the joy of writing without needing to be connected to the internet is truly unmatched 💚
Recently managed to claim my author page on Goodreads and get the title list all sorted out on there and this weirdly feels like a significant milestone (it’s probably not lol but still….😅)
Just opened a shipment from @stanchion.bsky.social (that’s been sitting on my desk a while tbh 😅) and I can’t wait to read all of these! I got the copies of Abigail E. Myers’ “The Last Analog Teenagers” for my creative writing students and they’re going to LOVE them 😍
