Insisting on taking ANY accusation of indirect bigotry at face value and automatically refusing to trust the accused about what they meant, makes them HIGHLY vulnerable for exploitation. Be vigilant of people who use emotional language to get you to think a certain way about individuals.
A friend and I were talking about certain politics weaponizing the language of calling out bigotry to deflect criticism from their side, and tangentially I found a comment calling Mimzy's chicken inspiration for her design an "excuse" for antisemitism.
