I managed to somehow fall *up* the stairs while carrying my dog. Reacted in time to land myself in a way where she was completely unharmed but in doing so, I fell on my knee HARD. Hours later and it still hurts so bad 💀

Welp. Starting in November, I will no longer be employed by IGN. It's been a hell of a ride and I cannot understate how much of an honor and a privilege the last 11+ years have been. This was a dream job, but the best part of IGN is, was, and always will be the people.
Well friends, that's it for me. This week IGN let me go, effective immediately. It's been a pleasure talking about movies and TV and to anybody that's read/watched/laughed at any of my work on IGN and CineFix over the years, here's a heartfelt thank you to contrast the grimace in this picture.

Seth isn't on Bluesky, so he asked me to share the news that he's just been laid off from IGN. Seth is bright, funny, and inspiring. He gave me so many opportunities and made every day better. I will miss him dearly, and whoever hires him next will be very, very lucky.
My team had a huge content day today on IGN, covering the launch of Valve's Steam Frame. So this seems like a good time as any to say that I was affected by today's layoffs.
I am just going to post here because I have had so many messages and I can't respond to them all (thank you for your concern, truly!!) I was not affected by the layoffs at IGN. My position is safe. But please, PLEASE go and support those who were let go. Even if it is just sharing their posts.
