I finally finished a run on Sektori. Very satisfying but also this game is TOO hectic.

Tits Memorial Day is just, wow, what evocative idea. We should make this a thing.
I Love Big Tits And Got To Fuck My Dream Girl With Colossal Tits! Because It Is Tits Memorial Day!
Might be my favorite of the franchise. Beautiful & strange. Defined by feminine relations, friends and sisters, navigating a world polluted by Myers' violence, but still fetishized (Tina, in her "maid" outfit, ducking between pools of light in the barn, almost recalls Rollin).
I like this movie (especially the director's cut) more than TCM2. Recently discovered this has the lowest average Letterboxd rating for any horror movie I've rated 4+ stars. Ridiculous situation. It's a great movie. The masses cannot be trusted.
The deep state has Leatherface and his clan doing Qanon. Leatherface has boobs, Matthew McConaughey is doing what I can only describe as west Texas werewolf acting while having a robot leg. This was actually insane and I kind of loved it?
Cregger with a direct hit. Apocalypse as farce. A series of numbing shocks jostling society's corpse just enough our hero mistakes the movement for signs of life and a possible return. The guardrails of a pre-existing property give Cregger freedom to really play.
Screening was indeed sold out yet I was able to park myself middle of the front row. Best seat in the house. Fun, appreciative crowd. Grabbed a beer and passed a girl sporting Jill Valentine's iconic RE3 outfit. Shit's good sometimes.
Love normie crowds at The Music Box. It is busy here for Resident Evil, not too far off sold out, I'd reckon, but there's just a handful of people in the first three rows aka. the best seats in the house.

I have somehow not watched a single Cristian Mungiu movie thus far. There's a free screening of Fjord here this Sunday. Maybe I just dive in?
Going to a 9:30pm screening of Resident Evil tonight. Might not make it home til midnight. Living on the edge.

Hello, I am a huge fan of Mike Flanagan and his work. Here is a video of a key scene from his latest project, which was released less than 24 hours ago, posted in its entirety. I wish to stoke honest conversation about my favorite TV guy. Please like and RT, for Mike Flanagan.
I'd probably tune in to watch Hegseth get executed, if I'd nothing else going on. Would be curious to see if they'd let him grease up his hair one last time for the cameras.
if i were a republican, idk if i'd want to be breaking the seal on 'televised firing squads', what with the way the polls look lately
It's interesting logging into LB and seeing a lot of Wain sceptics note this one down as another disappointment while I've also not been much moved by his previous films but this one worked so well I'd be inclined to revisit the rest.
I guess David Wain and Ken Marino figure themselves to be a couple of real fucking comedians. And based on all the good jokes in this movie I'd consider that perfectly reasonable. And that's not even getting into their earlier work together...

Investigation of a Citizen Above Suspicion and The Conformist came out the same year and are both about fascism in part being an expression of masculine sexual neurosis.
Is there a work of art that was created well before the current era that you feel explains Trump and MAGA and everything better than anything contemporary? For me it’s Assassins (1990) but I’m curious if other people have one.
The end credits of Halloween IV urge me to read the Critic's Choice paperback. But what if I did though?
Giving GTAV another chance. Again, truly difficult not to be impressed by this enormous, teeming playground Rockstar gave us, but Jesus, playing the game feels like work. There's so much shit on screen all the time and everyone's jabbering incessantly. It's genuinely trying 😀
Many years ago I was wearing @roryblank.bsky.social's extremely legal "Looney Tunes/Junji Ito" crossover tee and it genuinely scared my neighbors' kid. Well today that kid is a teenager and when we briefly chatted today, out of the blue, she told me she'd just read Uzumaki and it was great 😀
In a craven act of authoritarian violence, Baba the Kitten just attempted to eat my Chicago ballot. Luckily I was able to intervene and this jack-booted thug had to move on to trying to eat my watch-strap instead.
A big problem with contemporary horror is I'm not sure we even have an actress suitably positioned to reboot "Linnea Quigley's Horror Workout."
Mike Flanagan is a coward. It's always big, name-brand titles: The Exorcist, Carrie, Henry James. Do a prestige, 10-hour re-imagining of The Video Dead, you pussy!
This thing sounded amazing already but then I start scrolling and it's got Grémillon's The Lighthouse Keepers?!?! Holy shit, that alone is huge.

Jesus is Macho Man Randy Savage. Check. Got it. Explains a lot.
"Talk about testosterone!" Apparently, this guy met Manly MAGA Jesus in Heaven...
Can they only possess other Jews? Because if a possessed spirit can potentially raise a good enough point to convince three Rabbis it can stay, then this seems like a potential loophole to convert the entire world to Judaism.
One of my earliest memories is paying rapt attention to the TV when a cartoon suddenly came on but then an atom bomb went off and everyone's skin started flaying off as they screamed in agony because I guess it was part of a documentary about the bombing of Hiroshima. Anyway, I hid behind the couch.
In honor of scary media month: what is the first piece of media you remember truly frightening you as a child?
Passed on a 35mm screening of The Innocents because my wife wanted to hang out and get dinner somewhere. Filing for my "Husband of the Year 2026" Award now. Probably gonna lose to some guy whose wife is dead. Again!
They had to go to the car but they had it. Also couldn't resist bumping Vampyros Lesbos to 4K for Spooky Season. Such a textured image, I think it will look nice. Also Master of the Flying Guillotine is great fun. One-Armed Jimmy Wang Yu is always a good time.
My weekend plans involve going to see Master of the Flying Guillotine at The Music Box on Saturday and, if @severinfilms.bsky.social happen to be there selling movies and they happen to have a copy of A Bay of Blood, well, I may happen to pick that bad boy up.
