I was so excited to eat so many things this trip but high key i think I am too good of a cook. nearly everything I’ve had I would change or make better. the best thing I had was hot pot my friend took me to and that is literally a place where you cook yourself and make your own dipping sauce 😭
before you say anything, i should have known better, yes. but i was very curious about the housemade black pepper biscuits and gravy at this vegan diner so i ordered one and just. i. northerners learn how to make a biscuit challenge it canNOT be as hard as you make it seem what the hell
I’m in a pod hotel and the bed in the pod is one that you can move to a sitting or reclining situation, that absolutely rules
cool as it is to use such a robust subway in nyc I gotta say it was kind of shocking how inaccessible most of it felt. So few stations had elevators or escalators. Super jarring considering how many people in wheelchairs and with canes/walkers I see every day on MARTA. We’re doing one thing right
I am on my second of three Amtrak trips and it really drives home how much of tsa is theater that does literally nothing except cause stress and make you feel like a criminal. the train is so far superior and more comfortable in every way. we could have this, america. we could.

mom just updated me on the bugs and i think she is going to steal my daughter. they've gotten into a morning routine where dori waits for her to wake up, greets her at the cage door, and my mom gives her a treat. they are bonding !!!
i am here to tell you that i should not have listened to the white bougie vegans on reddit about what restaurants i should hit, they have been 0/2 meanwhile the random bagel spot by my hotel 10/10 and the hotpot place my local friend who is not white or vegan took me to was also 10/10

Sometimes I see posts from vegans about how they go to things and there's literally nothing to eat, no one thinks of them, people complain it's too hard to accommodate them etc and with respect: you need better friends

nori has started grabbing my clothes and rubbing his face all over them to scent mark them, which is so cute, he's saying "dis mine!!" but also. he is scent marking all of my clothes
my apartment complex has a new maintenance system and I put in a request for the first time since it was implemented and they now text me the name and photo of the employee assigned to my task
