Metallica proclaiming that they aren't political when their most impactful music is anti-war is pure bullshit. I think probably the first time I really contemplated the horrors of war was hearing "One" as a preeteen. I guess James drank so much he forgot why he wrote those songs in the first place.

Snippet from the new TLN investigative doc "Death of the Slopsman," following the case study of scammy weird guy Kam Fatz, and various common schemes used by digital marketers. This is TLN's first video that was fully produced by @sesweatshirt.bsky.social

Noah Kahan on CBS Sunday Morning yesterday talked about how he has always hated the way he looks. Referred to himself as experiencing "dysmorphia." I don't think it counts as dysmorphia if you genuinely look bad. That's just hating being ugly.

I cannot get over how good this INFOWARS relaunch is. I’ve laughed at every single thing they’ve put out.

Hey @runforsomething.net what's your e-mail? The contact form on your website doesn't work and I'm trying to let you know about how one of your endorsed candidates is a known rapist.

When I was a kid I didn't know the rules of what made someone "black." So, I watched Sanford and Son, and light-skinned Red Foxx had basically the same skin-tone as my dark-skinned Italian grandfather. So, until I was about 10 years old I thought my Italian grandfather was black.

Dudes who lose money on sports betting will spend the whole week micro-analyzing every little play in a football game, making videos about how everything is somehow rigged against them.

Fully sighted people online love to argue with visually impaired and blind folks about what they do/don’t see. Is it that hard to conceptualize the concept of zero visual input; no darkness, just nothingness? The optical nerve cannot perceive darkness if it does not exist/is fully degraded.

"Do you want China to win the AI race!?" Tech jagoffs are pushing this line of reasoning because they have an un-profitable product that will only make money with a huge infusion of government money. If they can get away with it they'll try to make it a permanent cashflow.

2 years in a row just raw-dogging the Pittsburgh summer with no AC.

Most blue checks on Twitter have never read a book before and never will.

Well, we're suspended from Twitch for (???) days. And we don't know what we did to get suspended. And Twitch won't tell us. So. Pretty cool! Thank you Twitch. Also we took down the VOD channel for the time being just in case that counts as "ban evasion." Anyway. Hopefully we'll be back soon???

It you’re tired of every new artist being a fucking nepo-baby go out to a local show and support someone unknown. Chances are your expectations will be blown away.

If the automatic transmission was invented today they'd call it "AI transmission." We need to stop calling every automated process "AI."

You'd think that with Instacart/DoorDash/Ubereats they would have to compete with each other for labor and customers with good deals on pay. But somehow they still managed to speed-run a race-to-the-bottom.

Joined a local pinball league. League nights have been at breweries on Friday nights, and I gotta say I don't have a lot of hope for most of these places to still be in business in the next few years. Going out might be cooked.

The part of Sisqo's "Thong Song" where he says "livin' la vida loca" is actually some sneaky self-promotion from the songwriter: Desmond Child who wrote both "Livin' la Vida Loca" and "Thong Song."

One time I was at a party, and the host was giving out free cocaine to everyone. I declined. Later in the night I heard the host confess to an off-duty stripper that he had heavily cut the cocaine with meth. So everyone was just running around this party methed out. It sucked.

I'm at a very Lebanese time of my life. Eating homemade baba ghanoush for breakfast!

I'm watching the White Sox feed of the Pirates game. The announcers are talking about Sept 11 and they brought up Pat Tillman. Reminder of Pat Tillman's last words "Cease fire, friendlies, I am Pat fucking Tillman, damn it!" He was ready to come home and speak out against the war.

13 Years ago today at John Fetterman's house. Those kids are Karl and Gracie Fetterman. Invite me on your podcast so I can tell the story.
