Lover of great music, life & cannabis 🌱 Order depends on day & mood 😏 Glad your Mom had You, welcome on in 🌹❤️🙏🏻 Let’s duet & slay the cancer

On this day…Jerry’s Birthday, I think of the many discussions with Paul about who he was. Of course a guitarist and singer. But I enjoyed his mischievous/joker personality and always smiling.

Jerry’s Birthday - August 1st 1942

😂 Paul would say to me “hurry up and take a picture, they brought their babies”…this pic was yesterday and they now bed down at night near the shed or surrounding the feeders ❤️. He would have loved seeing this.

Turkey Tuesday At Our House

This made me smile ❤️ from last Spring. One of the two only sunflowers Paul planted that survived the deer invasion. He checked on them every morning and evening. “The sunflower is mine, in a way. ~Vincent Van Gogh~

My heart was filled to the cup yesterday. My senior neighbors invited me to a matinee of 1776 performance & then an early dinner. Community is everything regardless of age. From stories of working as a Maritime Office to coming to the USA as an 8yr old. Such incredible people. Truly grateful ❤️.

Just a peaceful reading today & thinking of how Paul loved all creatures. We live in a world where humpback whales lift other animals out of the water to protect them from predators, crows hold funerals, dolphins have names for each other & sea otters hold hands when they sleep to stay connected.

Today I was helping out at a community lawn/bake sale. I started a conversation with a woman in her late 70’s. She became a physician at 43 & retired at 73. Talked about an amazing journey & volunteering during COVID. We talked about Paul & I felt a bit of peace come over me. Good folks exit ❤️

Thank you everyone ❤️ for all the tributes to Paul. He really loved connecting with you ☮️. My hope for everyone is to remember life is precious. Love, travel, read, write and enjoy the time we have here 🌍.

Paul’s Obituary Finishing Touch: A true Deadhead at heart, Paul lived his life by the ethos of peace, love & good music. He followed the Grateful Dead across the country in his youth while attending St. Mary's college in Moraga, CA. Paul leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness & wandering feet.

Started Paul’s Obituary today ❤️ Paul took his final “long strange trip" on May 23rd surrounded with love from his wife Catherine. Paul lived life with the volume turned up and a deep appreciation for the world around him.

In Rhode Island before heading to New Jersey tomorrow. I thought of Paul’s Mom last night & how she would have wanted his ashes blessed. So I went with my heart & decided to bring Paul’s ashes I am keeping to the church for the blessing. My hope is it will bring a sense of peace to his family.

Tomorrow I head to Jersey for what I was told was a memorial for Paul & luncheon. Now apparently it is a Catholic funeral mass. Discussion of his ashes was a true test of faith for me, when I said “no” to bringing them. I would abide by his wishes. Paul & I are lapsed Catholics. Family craziness.

I wanted to share a photo of Paul with his Dad & Mom. Paul lost his Dad in a tragic accident not to long after this photo was taken. His Mom died in 2022 & Paul was hurting, so that is how Dewey came into our lives. Paul was cremated this week & his ashes to be placed in a pond he loved. My ❤️.

Paul

It has been a week of intense grief and thoughts of life without Paul. He will remain in my heart forever. This video always gives me the calmness I need. (Chincoteague, Virginia) Peaceful and lovely with just the sound of waves. And on this morning walk we came across a school of dolphins.

Paul loved to watch the sunrise. He would quietly get out of bed and be in a still state watching the beginning of another beautiful day. I just wish we could stand side by side one more time and take in all the beauty around us.

Good Morning Everyone My heart is breaking as I post this 💔. Paul is declining fast and the nursing staff is making him comfortable. He will probably only last until the evening. I wanted to let you know that i’m so grateful for your community and the love, kindness you showed us both.

Good Evening All ❤️ Thank you all for the lovely comments on my husband. He did make it home, however the transition was tough. Especially due to being hospitalized for so long. He is currently recovering from fatigue & will be hopefully going to rehabilitation for stability, balance & strength.
