“So I did hear that right. I am unsure of what the proper response to this is.”
Tron Bonne@heroicmisadventure.bsky.social · last mo.“Kris performed mitosis by sneezing.”
“. . . I will ask you to repeat that one more time out of concern my auditory processors are malfunctioning.”
Tron Bonne@heroicmisadventure.bsky.social · last mo.“Kris sneezed.” “Now there’s two of them.”
“I suppose that isn’t a bad thing then. .? Perhaps you should let the wind handle things if it is so amiable. . . . I do not mean that seriously, by the way. “
Kris (Hippo)@skiptochap5.bsky.social · last mo.“CANCEL.” “Uh I don’t know, world hunger???” “CANCEL.” “Rock candy, I see.” Are they typing that into their phone notes?
“What does the wind need to be cancelled so badly. . .?” A small sigh, but it’s more one if endearment than exasperation. “I have never given that much thought. I was gifted rock candy before, I enjoyed that.”
Kris (Hippo)@skiptochap5.bsky.social · last mo.“CANCEL.” Time to head upwards again. “But if you COULD eat what would you want to eat?”
“A break? My processors do not need a break. Nor do they need lunch. They don’t eat- I don’t need to eat.” Tempo follows them, to her dismay she’s getting used to this.
Kris (Hippo)@skiptochap5.bsky.social · last mo.Kris starts walking upwards. “Yeah? When is the last time they had a break Pablo?” “It’s legally required for processors to break for lunch.” Off to the left they go.
“. . . I am certainly not. All of my processors are in working condition.”
Kris (Hippo)@skiptochap5.bsky.social · last mo.“CANCEL.” Kris returns the phone after adding her number. > Problem? ❤️ > Deny > Puppy Face “Nuh uh. I think you’re just imagining it.”
“That is not true. You made a face. The same face you tend to make whenever you want something.”
Kris (Hippo)@skiptochap5.bsky.social · last mo.“What face? I made no face.” They do a blep face instead. They turn right.
“It. . can? I am concerned if the ‘wind’s’ control over you is evolving.” She thinks about it for a moment before pulling out her phone and holding it out for them. “. . Don’t make that face.”
Kris (Hippo)@skiptochap5.bsky.social · last mo.They quickly snapped into the down direction then back upwards. “Sorry… uh the wind can now make me say cancel???” “So ignore cancel.” “Phone please.” They do puppy eyes.
Tempo opens her mouth to speak again but closes it again after they shout again, opting to just stare at them for a few moments. “. . . Just because I am a robot does not mean I will respond to commands like that.”
Kris (Hippo)@skiptochap5.bsky.social · last mo.“No no- CANCEL.” “YOU’RE FINE! CANCEL.” They are waving their arms in frustration.
you know construction and geological surveying are basically the same thing I think Guts and the other construction guys would be a good influence on Tempo (Quake Woman) (Quake...girl?)
“C-Cancel what? Did I say something wrong?” And they’re off again. . so she follows.
Kris (Hippo)@skiptochap5.bsky.social · last mo.“I won’t! I won’t- CANCEL.” The menu closes and they walk away upwards.
“Only probably? I will do my best to maintain my. . lack of smell.”
Kris (Hippo)@skiptochap5.bsky.social · last mo.The SOUL hovers over the Ball of Junk now. “Noooo? Probably not?” “You don’t smell?”
“If I say yes, you are not going to make a call only to comment on the way I smell are you?”
Kris (Hippo)@skiptochap5.bsky.social · 2mo agoThe SOUL selects items then hovers over the glass shard. “Yes. It was an important call needed done.” “…” “Um… you have a phone?”
“Yes, I know it’s the moon but you said. .” Her expression turns puzzled, which seems to be a frequent happening when talking to them. “Did. . you just call someone to tell them they smell?”
Kris (Hippo)@skiptochap5.bsky.social · 2mo ago“Pssh, it’s the moon Pablo.” “I think I can stare at it.” Kris pulls out their phone and calls a random number. It goes to voicemail. “You smell.” They hang up and put the phone away. The SOUL opens the menu.
Tempo reaches her hand out to hover in front of their eyes. “Then do not stare at it.”
Kris (Hippo)@skiptochap5.bsky.social · 2mo ago“It clearly is.” “I feel my eyes burn as I stare at it.” They grin.
“That is not actual criteria for whether that is the moon or not. It is clearly not the sun.”
Kris (Hippo)@skiptochap5.bsky.social · 2mo ago“If that was the moon I’d be howling. Duh.”
