Summary:
Karma exists! Xie Lian exclaimed inwardly when he saw that the elevator in his apartment complex had finally been fixed. If all it took to attract this unbelievable luck was to bring an alleged criminal to his apartment, so be it!

Xie Lian and Hua Cheng share a dark past. When fate brings them together again, they not only have to face their old traumas and experience new tragedies, but they are also tasked with ending the cycle of violence. Can the triad boss fulfil his previous leader's goal, and can the taxi driver accept his past as a part of himself?

"San Lang," Xie Lian whimpered, feeling the press of Hua Cheng's palm when he swallowed the lump in his throat.

"Hush," Hua Cheng gently commanded. "This is your own fault. You asked me to come here. You toyed with me. All because you wanted to be held down and fucked. So insatiable, aren't you, gege? This was your plan, wasn't it?"

"Yes," Xie Lian admitted, almost afraid Hua Cheng might take it all away if he dared deny it. His breaths were ragged and his body shook, but Xie Lian did all he could to stay still, knowing that fighting it would only encourage Hua Cheng to make him wait even longer. The look on Hua Cheng's face was almost predatory; he'd caught his prey and was enjoying playing with his meal. Barely audibly, Xie Lian breathed, "Fuck…"

"Tsk tsk," Hua Cheng clicked his tongue disapprovingly despite his complacent smile. "Such a dirty mouth. What happened to those princely manners?" He sighed dramatically. "What am I going to do with you?"

Maybe it was some kind of magic that came from Hua Cheng, making such harsh, cruel treatment feel so good. Xie Lian wouldn't tolerate it from anyone else, but he craved it from his husband. He liked it when Hua Cheng called out his depravity. Because Xie Lian knew that despite the false condemnation in his voice, Hua Cheng had always been the one advocating for Xie Lian to achieve this level of freedom. In Hua Cheng's hands, beneath the brutality was an unshakable feeling of safety.

"I—" Xie Lian tried, quickly getting cut off when Hua Cheng applied the slightest pressure to his throat, a delicate warning.

"I said hush." Hua Cheng leaned in, soft, tempting lips ghosting over Xie Lian's jaw to his neck, and eventually settling just below his ear. "You're going to lie back and take it like a good boy, aren't you?"
