Oakham Ales

Craft brew legends. Over 30 years of great beers, including the UK's first single hopped Citra ale.

August is the month of Sun City. The first Oakham beer to be brewed exclusively with solar generated power, “Sun City” was so well received in August 2025 that we've brewed it again. It's a refreshing new Blonde Ale featuring a dynamic duo of New Zealand sourced hops.

We returned to Hook Norton Brewery for another collab - Sun Drift. Head Brewer Ed was keen to use Belma, a US hop he & Andy Thomas came across visiting the Yakima Valley together. "A really impressive hop that layers soft strawberry and melon notes over vibrant citrus and tropical fruit flavours."

The Sun Drift pump clip - 4.1% pale ale - Smooth & refreshing, with juicy citrus, tropical fruit, soft strawberry & melon notes over a gentle biscuit sweetness.

Rounding off the week with a bit of time in the garden? Krush is now stocked in more than 120 Morrisons stores nationwide, so pop in a pick up a couple to enjoy in the sun.

Coming soon to our cask aged range, Omertà is a smooth new porter, hopped with Bramling Cross, a UK variety long venerated as a classic black beer hop. Trade pals can hit us up on orders@oakhamales.com to reserve theirs.

Scarlet Macaw is now sold out for another year, but our other July seasonal, Glass Mountain is still available. It's a bright and hugely refreshing new single hop American Cream Ale featuring the unique USA sourced hop variety Lemon Drop.

We've got a new hazy pale coming for you in August - Blurred is made with three bold US hop varieties, including Idaho 7; named after the state, not the 70’s TV cop series.

The season of al fresco dining is very much upon us, and vegetarians in particular may welcome the pairing of sticky cauliflower wings with Green Devil - two punchy flavours working in harmony.

One the way in August, our seasonal is a 3.7% blonde called Sun City. It was the first beer we brewed exclusively with solar generated power last year, and the combo of Nelson Sauvin™and Nectaron® was definitely worth bringing back in 2026!

Coming soon, for the first time, a limited edition keg release of Helter Skelter. A strong ale with a sleek hop aroma with fruity flavours spiralling around an elegant tower of bitterness.

Feels kind of like we have to get involved and wish England all the very best in their World Cup game against Argentina tonight. But in the interests of balance, here's another lovely pub dog for those of you who aren't interested in the football or don't support England.

A large black dog with a white patch on its neck and a red collar looks quizzically at the camera.

We've got a new beer coming soon to our cask aged range - this IPA is a whirligig of fresh and intense soft citrus, red berry and tropical fruit hop flavours from Belma and Olicana, with Amarillo® and Olicana® conjuring up a spicy, earthy, resinous, bitterness on the finish.
