Violence translation log 1: Some of the weapons on the table are super not direct translations and just importing the same weapon would make the later advice of “weapons not on this list could be mapped to one of these” much harder. Most of the time the Spanish word is much more specific.

Online is not fighting games. Just played a very long set of MBACC with locals and had a absolute blast. It is perhaps the genre that enables the most expression, care self-improvement and character work that I know of. Even when the online conversation is rancid. I’m grateful to be a part of it.

LRP: the book of Ryan's that got banned was this one: a choosable path adventure that gives the player agency, like choosing a buff Juliet to go live her life. I, and lots of other artists, contributed to this work. I'm glad I was able to, and remain very proud to have done so! It's a great book!!

ROMEO AND/OR JULIET
A CHOOSEABLE-PATH ADVENTURE BY RYAN NORTH

After I saw locals playing Violence Luke Gearing I asked around if any wanted to translate the rules. Since no one volunteered I decided to take up the task and translating this has given me a lot of appreciation for the it and the art of translation.

one of the best things i've learned in fighting games is that you don't have to know why the good players do the thing first. just do the thing you see in the Xrd mikado videos from 8 years ago and you'll learn why they do it after. replay theater has the sacred texts and they're searchable.

I feel bad talking about video games that I've been playing recently when it's been several weeks having not written anything (let alone making videos) However, i feel like I need to share the easedropping animation from the new James Bond game because it's so ridiculous

just a heads up folks - as i've seen a few negative reactions to NYTs Top 100 TV shows list - they commissioned me to write their Top 100 video games of the 21st century list. To get ahead of the potential bad press, gonna let you peek at the top 25 so far
