From draft four of Book 3 (TMF), chapter 28, Isyra POV: You’re up,” Korrin said, and Isyra snapped her gaze to him. “What?” she said. “You get one try,” Korrin explained. “One false move will trigger the guards and announce our arrival.” Isyra gaped at him. He had to be kidding. It took her the entire walk here and multiple stings to open the much smaller box. Korrin leaned in closer and whispered, “Don’t worry. This gate is much less complicated than the box I gave you. You’ve got this.” “Thank you so much,” Isyra responded snidely, and once again had to resist the impulse of chucking the smaller stone box at him.

She doesn’t want us there.” “I don’t care what she wants,” Mæve said. “You’ve not been to Thalis, Armaiti. It’s a very dangerous place.” “Especially for her,” Isaac said. “She doesn’t realize—” “You weren’t much older when you raised the slaves of the Palace of Light to revolt against the Azantium Empire,” Armaiti said, raising his voice—which he never did. “How old were you when you began working as an Azantium merchant?” he asked Isaac. Isaac and Mæve both clicked their mouths shut.

The Mycellium Forest Kickstarter has officially come to an end, and unfortunately, we didn't reach our funding goal. I'm disappointed, of course—but I'm also incredibly grateful to everyone who supported. ❤️ I'm going to take a little time to get back to the part I love most: writing. More soon!
