You don’t always notice progress, THEN you see how far you’ve come! When I took the top photo it was 2022, I was super depressed, and Genshin was a white whale project. I booked it the month after. And now here I am, full of beans and still ready to rock! And I’m a little bit more buff.
I think the home gym is still providing results. More testing required, of course.
A damn shame to see this happen to Game (a second time in my lifetime), and the slow death of brick-and-mortar games retailers in general. I adore going in and buying new physical games or even browse old ones, but that’s increasingly been less and less possible.

Slowly dragging the garden into the modern age, cleaning up the edges and levelling a giant lump in the middle. Always feels like no progress gets made, but always important to keep reminding myself where this was not too long ago and that I am in fact “getting there”.

If you see a fanbase that is notorious for attacking voice actors and demanding they lose their jobs/kill themselves/etc go after a new voice actor and your choice - as a professional VA - is to side with the fandom? I have to assume you're treating acting as some weird high school contest.
There are way, way bigger bullies in the industry and way, way worse examples of bullying. You might see established actors clutching their pearls over this, while simultaneously stabbing their colleagues in the back behind the scenes. This is nothing.

Vesna’s VA, Ari Thrash, is getting a lot of shit because on stream she was deliberately being negative about Kinich/Jacob Takanashi. Now people are big mad and saying she should be recast before 7.0 even launches #GenshinImpact
As yearly VA drama cycles around, remember the three central tenets of a comfortable life in this space: 1) Do not talk shit - unless you must go apeshit. 2) Tell the truth - unless you’d break an NDA. 3) Work hard - which means taking the time to step away.
I’m glad DF is safe but it’s posts like this that really make me weep for the games industry. The life, times and legacy of Tim Schafer - jettisoned and just barely avoiding closure on what could have been a coin toss, just because a corpo needed a balanced book.

It’s genuinely upsetting to see a vocal minority of Digital Circus fans devolve into hate slinging and harassment. Some Internet spaces are inhospitable with it. You can have literally any opinion you like about the show but for fuck’s sake leave the people who brought it to life out of it.
Genuinely crushing that such an incredible franchise - one which I longed to be part of but also just enjoyed to play - gets to whimper out of existence as a product that “didn’t meet expectations”. This industry sucks.
