I have, today, attained the ripe old age of 69. As my beloved FinL would point out, that means I’ve started my 70th time of this round the year lark. And y’know what? Right glad I am to be doing it. Be good to each other-we’re all we’ve got.

Dear everyone, Yes, students now are different than students ten years ago. I would worry - a lot - if they were not. They have different skills, different forms of knowledge, different new words. Finding all that out is one of the joys of continuing to teach.

I've just been on BBC Wales, talking about 'screen time' - for about three minutes. Main message I want to get across? * Engage with your child - discuss what they're seeing * Every family, every child is different * Most parents are doing the best they can!

A couple of notes about all the knitting... * I knit with a lot of cheap yarn. Mainly because it's what I have around but also because it's easy care - almost all of my knitting goes to people who probably aren't going to have time/space to 'hand wash, dry flat'...
