No full issue this time - here's what elite did for #GW37: - Targeted City & Arsenal (3 players apiece) - Dumped Pedro & Palmer for Gyokeres & Saka - 6% played the Bench Boost - Handed Saka the armband (43%), with Gyokeres 2nd (25%) and Bruno 3rd (18%) - Casuals backed Haaland (41%) & Bruno (10%)

Don't want to get cocky, but... We might actually defend the title next season. Pep's gone, Liverpool sticking with Slot, United keeping Carrick, Alonso will need time - if he comes through at all. We are the most stable team next season

Spare a thought for Bernardo Silva. If only the poor ickings weren't in a transition season, meaning that had to penny-pinch and could only afford to spend a couple of hundred mil in January alone...

That's it, not checking any social networks until this season is over. So many rival fans want us to fail. It's puzzling really. No problem with Man City and PSG winning? Really? Why do you hate Arsenal so much - unless you are Spurs fans?

In #DGW36 the elite triple-captained Haaland, maxed out on Man City assets & used chips once more. This still resulted in a mere 11-point gain over casuals. Even perfect-looking setups can be undone by rotation, luck and variance. Full analysis - elitethinking.substack.com/p/elite-fpl-... #FPL

‼️ DGW36 Elite Thinking: Double Trouble

The elite maxed out on City and triple-captained Haaland — but the gains were smaller than expected

Liverpool take points off Villa tomorrow and both Bournemouth in 37 and Villa in 38 will need wins to stay/get into that 5th CL spot. Guess who they are playing in 37 and 38. Come on Liverpool, do it for the hood, do it for Mo Salah ;)

Brilliantly put. I love Benny White, he's a character in a game sorely lacking those - and he's a top footballer. Found himself second to Timber through no fault of his own. Not sure what's going on with his contract, but I'll be devastated if he leaves arseblog.com/2026/05/seas...

Season over for brilliant Ben White

Morning all. I don’t like to start the blog with bad news but that’s what we’ve got this morning as a season-ending injury to Ben White was announced by Arsenal yesterday. In a statement on the offici...

I think we should make yesterday’s squad the default for the remaining games - bar Mosquera on the right. We had some technical quality, guile, we held onto the ball better, were dangerous in transitions. Ode + Eze + Havertz. Shame that no Saka, but still a good squad

City gave us endless opportunities before today. We repaid that by dropping points vs Nottingham, Brentford, Wolves, Liverpool and United at home. Then we lost to Bournemouth. We are probably getting beaten to the title by a team currently averaging two points per game. I give up

No one but Arsenal fans will remember that we played some beautiful football when we finished 5th behind Spurs, or 4 ago when an injury to Saliba derailed our challenge, or 2 years ago, when we finished a point behind City. We’ll be bashed for lacking character and labelled as an “almost” team

#FPL #GW26 was defined by a rare elite misstep. 73% used their Triple Captain chip on Gabriel for Arsenal's double. He scored 7 points. The result: almost no gain vs casuals — and a reminder that chip timing matters more than chip choice. Even the elite gaffers can get it wrong

No full issue this time - not enough to go on - so here are the most interesting bits from #FPL #GW22. - The elite and casuals finished GW22 level on points. - Cunha was dumped by 70% of elites. - Beyond Foden + Saka, midfield picks are tightly clustered

YouTube are out of line. First they introduce ads, make them maddeningly frequent, and then casually ask you this. I won’t even touch on their astronomical pricing. Can anyone suggest another good video streaming platform with ad-free videos - or at least manageable subscription prices?

I think Jesus should start the next game. Not the cup, the league. Maybe the cup as well, but not the point. Unlike Gyokeres he actually has some end product. He gives us a focal point
