One of the neat things about Alex no Bousou is the number of ways weapons are differentiated from each other. On top of the usual stats, they deal different numbers of hits per attack, letting you choose between many weak hits (left) or fewer strong ones (right) --
I DIDNT KNOW THEY WERE FROM TOUHOU ALKHFSDL:df my last animated artfight attack for Charsie,,!!!
what i'm most concerned about is when i stop having fun. mostly b/c i've only had proper major depression once in my life, and i remember it very well, and i really, really, really don't want to go back to that period. as it is, i always rebound no matter what happens and am normal the next day
My rhizomatous buddy is sending up some new shoots across the street
relapsed again the other day and it obv did not help anything at all but it does kinda suck to keep thinking about it all the time whenever my mood gets like this. one reason i don't actually think it's good for me to self-isolate is b/c... it does make such things harder to avoid
my ultimate problem is really that i feel like i'd need a fulfilling and reliable irl social life to depend on to stay sane. this is the main reason i constantly post about wishing i had more money and could plan a way to get out of here. it will not happen here i think
still, my fundamental difficulties motivating myself when i'm alone at home and distracted by stuff continue to be a problem. i don't know if it's really possible for me to overcome them in a way i like, but, we'll have to see i guess. feels so circular sometimes
you ain't gonna get me back playing it any time soon though... but it can be fun to think about
ok that's all i'm done. this is the sort of thing i wish most sets were doing... trying to be clever and realize ideas well instead of simply filling space. obv you can't do it all the time and there's only so much to make. but. well. hmm. i do like it when it's good
this might honestly be one of the more unique ways to make colorless commanders in edh... they've always been limited by having very little in the way of themes and playing the same haymakers b/c there's no alternatives. this is like creating limited "artificial colors" for them
this one is more interesting than i thought... i didn't notice olag b/c he was the reverse side of ludevic's card from when i wasn't playing, and i recognize olag by his full body a lot more than his name. i did not know that he was sealed away for being too kind... that's very funny
see now this is the kind of dumb design i'm truly here for. paper tiger-ass effect. this has a lot of use cases for alternate ways to take advantage of strength. i can only assume they're not very good at this
i enjoy this sort of effect. it was mostly unplayable as cipher OR entirely too toxic b/c it's so all or nothing, i think it's a bad card design overall, but as a minigame and forcing you to use mv1 spells i enjoy it
i didn't catch it immediately at a glance since interacting with the opponent's cards is so normal now, but the first card in mtg to let you screw with your opponent's library was jester's cap. people got really upset about it at the time. the implication is, this is his stuff. get ready
YOOO WAIT A MINUTE I KNOW THIS DUDE HIS ITEMS HAVE BEEN SITTING AROUND IN THE GAME FOR 3 DECADES i appreciate them using the mount->saddle ability they came up with for a set where it didnt see much use here, nice attempt to properly realize him
the japanese name here is a little strange. i'm not sure, but i wonder if it's a reference to this card from kamigawa that also has the opponent choose a number and risk damage for it
