I’m restless. The hammock isn’t doing it for me today. I don’t want to drive anywhere, but I don’t really want to stay here, either. I don’t know what I want, which I guess is pretty par for the course, but it’s really the first time I’ve felt so out of sorts at Loon Lake. Mostly it’s fine, if not good, but this?

Dear Diary, I think Emily has a drinking problem. Isn’t that something you’re supposed to see sooner than this, especially if it’s chronic? And, if she does have a drinking problem, shouldn’t she have picked a retreat that limits her access to alcohol? Here any of us can walk in at any hour of the day and take what we want.

Henry hadn’t had a chance to put his necklace back on at any point yesterday, but at least it was in his cabin, and that’s where he and Emily went. He got it off the charger before she saw it while the two of them were still discussing Stephen King. Man, he’d faked his way through that conversation like a gold medalist.

I was in a local bookstore yesterday and another patron kept gushing about the Audible version of the book I had in my hands and telling me I needed to get the Audible version instead because the Audible version is amazing and maybe don’t do that.

#mothweek #mothmara facts day 1! Facts related to my book Moth Pit! I fell in love with luna moths several years ago when I found one outside! When I researched them, I thought it was tragic they only live 3 days once emerging from their cocoon, one of the shortest mating cycles in moths.

Text:
Moth Pit:
Luna moth MC.
Luna moths have a short mating cycle of 3 days, they mate then die.
Most common moth in the Midwest but rarely seen due to short life.
Gold swift moth LI.
Known as “Kamasutra moth” for it's variety of mating positions.
Polyamorous moth! Known to mate in groups.
