Stephanie Chateau @chateaudemagie.bsky.social · 8h ago

I've been participating in #Inktober all month but a sudden change in travel plans and switching gears in what work I'm doing Oct 17th-27th made it where I only just got around to scanning everything last night before zonking out. 😴 Sorry in advance to moots for feed spamming as I play catch up. 😅

Inktober 2026 Day 2: Relic 💍 Relm's Momento Ring #finalfantasyVI #ffVI #ff6 #relmarrowny #relic #inktober

The artist Relm Arrowny uses a calligraphy ink pen to participate in making art for Inktober. The Momento Ring relic sparkles on her finger while she is working on what seems to be an in progress pictomancy project.

I prepped more than usual for #Inktober2026 but I still can't upload anything until tomorrow. I travel a lot for work so I won't be by a scanner or good lighting for pics til then. So, tonight I'll just post my goals. - Fight perfectionist mind set 🧘🏻‍♀️ - Do all 31 prompts! ⏳ - Only ink pens! ✍🏻

I will be alternating between the official Inktober 2026 prompts as well as participating in OC-tober (original characters) on some days, Imptober and a few other prompt lists made by other artists participating in the challenge.

These will be my tools of choice for Inktober 2026. A set of V7 Ink pens in red, coral, goldenrod, green, blue and black.

still hard to focus on drawing with everything going on in the world, but things are getting done anyway.

It only took two years from when I first posted about this to adjust but now it's finally looking like I'll have a 2027 convention schedule to post here soon. Slow and steady doesn't win every race but it makes foundations sturdier and eliminates imposter syndrome.

Now that my bookings for Pet Sitting & Commissions are pretty fleshed out til the "Fall Convention Season" I thought it might be a good idea to look up what shows are going on this 🍂. It's very sobering to realize how much has changed since 2019. I hope I can adapt cuz atm I'm like... wait... what?

Last #DCAF 26 post before I move on to posting art again. @retrothelionttv.bsky.social was kind enough to mail clips of his stream where he covered my promo table. Thanks Retro! Appreciate the review and you being considerate of each table's filming preferences! 👩🏻‍🎨🖼️ youtube.com/shorts/46UBo...

#DruidCityAnimeFestival was a very pleasant experience overall. I spent most of the day at my promo table doing #quicksketches for attendees and chatting it up with other artists and vloggers. Enjoyed the #arthouse vibe and the hospitality by the staff. To see more visit: ko-fi.com/i/II1X6255TUI

Quick Sketch Sample #1

This DCAF attendee wanted his pirate character from his streaming channel drawn. A lot of pirate fans at this event ... (Myself included) so it was fun!

Quick Sketch Sample #2

Another attendee wanted me to draw Kaido from One Piece in my style. I didn't add a butterfly beret to his hair in the actual picture. That's just the sticker that seals the protective wrap and backing. 😅

I was originally planning to upload my drawing process for this #envelopeart of #shakti to my YouTube before posting it finished here. Editing takes time though and I want to get a recent #artcommission sample up since I got a last min promo table invite I'll post more about asap. ⏰🧳

When you commission me to do a more detailed piece (that takes more than a day to complete) either at conventions or through Ko-Fi you will automatically get a bonus envelope art quick sketch of your choice too. In this photo you can see an example of the kind of sketch you would typically get. It will usually be about a 3rd of the size of the mailing envelope framing your mailing address in a compositionally pleasant way. 💌

Join me on the PixPost app to see more envelope art from me on the regular. 💌

For a while I've been having a lot of strange repeating dreams. One is that either I'm thanking #Goddess #Lakshmi or I see someone else #meditating on her. I decided to use the dreams as art inspo and it's made the process enjoyable again instead of just a daily sunk cost fallacy grind. 🪷🥹 Yay!

Meditating on the Goddess Lakshmi

In my dreams she arises from either a body of water, climbing roses in a garden or from half finished paintings and either pours gold coins and gems out of her hands or presents a pot with a simmering clear liquid from which flowers pour out.

Sometimes I am the one witnessing it happening and sometimes she is appearing because someone else I know or one of their characters or alter egos is meditating on her until she appears.

I wonder if all the dreams are a good omen. It seems unlikely with the way things seem so unstable politically but if it's not that then I'm thinking my mind is working something out on a subconscious level that must be positive because it's been awhile where I've felt this inspired while working on art so idk.

Some really pretty scenes I got to take pics of at the #BirminghamBotanicalGardens while looking for reference photos for some artwork I'm working on. I don't usually share ref pics I take but these gave me such a serene feeling that I wanted to share it with anyone else who likes to #bloomscroll 🪷

Reddish Pink roses bloom on vibrant green stems in the Royal Garden at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens. This is a great place to go if you need reference of different types of flowers, plants, trees, garden pathways and hiking trails.

This pond had one singular blue lotus in full bloom sitting in the center that I could not stop staring at because it was just so beautiful. I don't consider myself a photographer because I only take pictures for drawing reference but I was so happy how this picture came out.

This is a picture of one of the many hiking paths at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens. I love the way the stone steps entice you to explore the forest further.

There is a library of botanicals you can go to for information about any of the plants at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens and when I went to ask about if they had any hydrangeas there we ended up getting into a conversation about why I was looking for them and the reference photos I was taking for my art projects.

Part of it has to do with a lot of Hellenic practices and Greek traditions an ex taught me when we were both in grade school together so she recommended I check out this pond statue art named "Echo" for obvious reasons.

If you like hand made art and letters with scented, stylized envelopes then you've scrolled onto the right post. 📬 From now on I'll be logging any art commissions or comics I mail patrons on the #PixPost App as well as cross posting here. 🦋 Details in Alt Text and at: ko-fi.com/chateaudemag...

3 bright blue spring themed envelopes are shown with USPS "Thank You" stamps on them. The top envelope reveals that one of the commissioners is another writer, artist and BlueSky user by the name of David Koukol. Next to the stamps I have doodled "Taylor Bell" in a relaxed pose. She is the main character of his book series on Amazon. 💠🌱

Proof of Post!

If you commission me then you will not have to worry about having to constantly check up on if it's been sent out yet. I will post each time a new batch of commissions or patron perks are sent out and then inform you in either text or DM.

A mural painted on the side of a dark train car shows two realistic hands holding four playing cards that spell out P A W S. Each card features symbolic artwork: clouds for P, a crying eye for A, an hourglass for W, and a skull for S. To the right, bold text reads, “Play the hand you’re dealt.” The train car sits on railroad tracks under a clear blue sky, creating a gritty, industrial setting.
