there's a tendency in the FFXIV socmed space to focus on mods, but i think it's important to recognize the artistry of vanilla gposes as well. this game has very powerful visual tools completely unmodified, and i think you will find that learning to use them effectively will pay great dividends

(Finally)* started last August 23rd, 2021 so it was just during the downtime of the last Shadowbringers patch and literally a few months before Endwalker came out. XIV-wise, there were ups and downs, but mostly ups as the downs never really made me quit playing. Definitely worthwhile to this day.

FFIX was my first and got to play it in 2003, and despite its hiccups it's still one of my top FF titles. As for the others, I've only tried a bit of the older ones (1-6), midgame on 12, got far in 7, 8, 10, 15. Finished 10-2, 13 trilogy, 16 too. Want to try 11 when the new free trial is up.
